At my work there are a few parents and our children are all in different school districts, so my children could wear their costumes, and the other ladies children could not. What's the deal? Does it change from district to district?

Yeah, my school district decided and encouraged students to wear their costumes to school. In past years, they haven't because of religious conflicts. If you ask me, people have no right to interfere with our own American Traditions. THat's like going to another country and telling them not to have their own holidays.

Maybe not necessairly district but schools. My brother was in elementary last year and could wear a costume. This year in Jr, high he cannot, and I know in H>S they do allow you to. I think it is because it is considered an outside distraction.

At my K-12 school, not only did we get to wear our costumes, but we also got to have a costume contest. My little brothers Elementary school did not let him wear his. We are both in the same district, and my school has the same schedual and lunch menu his does. I think it varies school to school.
