Be honest...what do you think about school counselors?

I am doing a project for school and I just want to get the opinions of people on school counselors. Let me know what you REALLY feel..

they should be called schedulers, at my school all they did was help us put our schedules together for the next school year

does one need a degree to tell students they need one more math and a social studies credit to graduate?

It depends you have some that I think can help and then you have the ones that just show up for a paycheck.. I had one and she was a ditz, couldnt answer my ? was just blowing me off half the time.
