Of course I cannot comment on exactly why this has happened to you but I suspect that the primary part at least was down to a couple of things - if they let you as an able pupil race ahead and achieve great scores, when you come to secondary school, for the most part they will not know what to teach you. If you are already a level 6 and everyone else there is a level 4 or 5, the school will need to find the extra resources to teach you or you will end up bored witless waiting for everyone else to catch you up.
Furthermore, the school itself is assessed on the levels that its pupils attain in SATs. Assessors will look at the results, see that you have scored highly and then wonder what they are teaching the others that they have not attained the same marks as you and despite what you might think, it will appear that the school is actually failing rather than succeeding.
It's a bit late now and hindsight is a wonderful thing and all that but when you were showing promise at secondary school, why did your parents not recognise that fact and insist that you were moved forms to one where you would be able to learn?
There was not really much as a child that you could have done about these things at the time but now that you are older and in college, there is something that you can do to improve your situation. Do you have a personal tutor or mentor? I think in all institutions of higher education you must have someone responsible for your welfare. Speak to them about what you can do to improve your coursework. Is there any past coursework from previous students that they could let you have a look at to gain inspiration?
You don't say what course you are doing now at college but it could be something that if you read more widely about the subject, you can improve your grades.
It seems that through all this adversity you have managed to rise above it and get good grades. Whilst it may seem demoralising right now, you could look at it another way. When you come to getting a job, going for interviews, finding accommodation, etc, etc, life becomes a hell of a lot more difficult. Lots of people are cossetted all through their school and college life, all wrapped in cotton wool and have never had to face any adversity in their lives. When they come to live in the real world, they are totally unprepared. You on the other hand have experienced difficulties in life and will be all the better prepared for it.
Good luck and keep up the good work. It will pay off for you in the end and then you can look back at all the losers in life and blow them a raspberry.

The world works by the containment of negative things and the maintenance of the status quo with the rest. So, violence, crime, etc. are kept to a certain level with victims considered to be acceptable collateral damage. Likewise, so many people succeed in the education system, once this quota has been met everyone(?) is happy. If you come along at such a time, you will be ignored or worse. Sadly it's just the way that things are - society accepts the victimisation and suffering of the few as long as things plod along in its usual way.
You are very unfortunate but not alone. Just keep battling away, and take solace in being aware of what you deserve rather than what you receive.
Good luck.

Well that might well be true. But you don't benefit by thinking that way. It is clear that you are ambitious and want to get ahead, so the best thing to do is open your eyes, ears and your mind, and look out for opportunities. You need independence of thought to do this. Why don't you do some investigation into other better schools in better areas? Or look at the web sites of private schools such as Eton and Wellington - they might offer scholarships to allow people like you to study there for free.

Keep your head up...When one of my kids come to me and say that so and so called them a jerk, or stupid, or such, I look at them and say well are you _____ (fill in the blank) When they say no, I say fine then ignore them, you know different, I know different, God knows different, don't listen to them because if you start thinking that, you are doomed. You need to continue doing what you need to do. There is always going to be someone who will try to bring you down. Show them different, Be that teacher if you want to be. Everyone thought that I wouldn't amount to much (or maybe that is what I thought) in high school. I came back to my 5 year high school reunion, Married, pregnant with my 2nd child and having a degree in the medical field, I said why bother going to this reunion, and decided I was going to go to prove to people that they were wrong about me. Good luck

Don't worry with that many put downs and your determination I think you can do anything. Well done to you, keep trying believe me you will succeed. When you start work as an adult you'll find lots of obstacles and unfairness, the best way to overcome it is to believe in yourself and keep trying. Yes, some people just seem to fall on their feet without trying and others have to work so hard to get there. I think you have just been unlucky with your teachers and classes, it just sometimes happens that way.

I think you will succeed whether you feel the system is designed for you to fail or not. Because you seem to want to succeed. If you keep trying, working hard, and just don't give up, your chances are really great, whether the school is or not. Just don't become discouraged, keep on going to school, and you will graduate and succeed at whatever you set your mind to do and work hard for. Least thats what I think.

One of the problems I think that exists is that parents do not actually know what is going on in schools. I complain - my children's education comes first. This gives the teachers the backup to remove problem children. Sometimes it is hard trying to swim against the stream.
Put yourself first.

hell it don't matter what kind of school you went to it's all about you.
my cousin failed at school and went into catering after a while she decided to go back to colledge and is now a year 6 teacher
it looks like you need time out too much grinding in your studies is making you feel like your failing because you expect too much of your self too soon
take time out try something else then go back to it
then you get whet you wanted in the first place

There could be 1000 reasons as to why these things keep happening to you. All you gotta do is keep ya head high and know deep in your self where you want to go and be in life. You will do it off your own back and no one elses whihc will make you stronger in the long run. Dont listen to people who dont fill you hope and dreams, they are sh!t.
goodlucka and i know it sounds cheesy, but you can be who ever you want to be. LIfe is what you make it, DONT LET THEM BRING YOU DOWN.
