I was accepted to a CUNY college last fall, and deferred my acceptance to the same college to the spring.

It's been eight weeks since I completed my deferment, and the automated information on the CUNY admissions hotline still says that my "application is complete", but no information on being accepted.

I've talked to three different admissions counselors over the past two weeks, all of whom say they'll get back to me within 24 hours. None of them have, and the deadline for getting advised is on Friday.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I am in the final year of sixth form and im studying englsh language, psychology and sociology. When i started sixth form i hadnt a clue what career i wanted. However, i realize now that i really want to study a course such as zoology or animal biology but entry to the course recquires the study of two sciences at A level which i havent done!
This is the only time i have realized i actually want to do this but i am sitting my exams in january and may.
The only way i could get onto those courses is if instead of going to uni next year, i get my a level in biology then apply again the year after.
Will colleges accept me as i will still only be 18 next year.
Im just really confused at the moment and dont know what to do. I dont know whether tp give up and settle with what iv got or to take the chance and do it and end up doing a course i enjoy which will hopefully give me the career i want.
Sorry for the length of this! Any advice or views will be so much help!

I'm looking for a job in the sciences. I went to a very well-ranked college, but my graduating GPA will be 3.2-3.3.

I'd really appreciate it.
1. I go to Lane Tech, a public magnet school in Chicago.
2. I have a 3.9 GPA
3. I have a 22 act composite score
4. I'm ranked 132 out of 877 = top 15%
5. I've been in Key Club, Journalism, Vietnamese club, and Student Council
6. I started off high school taking all regulars, got straight 'A's, then switched my curriculum to all honors.
7. I've taken AP US History, AP Micro and Macro Econ, AP Stats, and AP Computer Science.

Please pray for me. I only have a six percent chance, according to the school's website.

I need some help and advice please. How did you get into Choregraphy, like what did you do to get in it? Tell me anything I need to know, because i'm stil in High School. Also, I love to dance, and I want to become a choreographer after I graduate. Oh, I would also like to know about the colleges here in Texas. Like, what's the cheapest (I guess). So please, help me out. Thanks.

What Im traying to ask is:
colleges care about how capable are you of paying...?

Let say an average student, but capable of paying his entire education and even donate some stuff to the university;
can get in an Ivy league school?

I think i made a HUGE MISTAKE....that i can't take back.

See, I'm a freshman in college. I had VERY BAD start to college. My friend I was living with transfered after 2 days...they then placed a Jehovah Wittiness in my room.. she attempted to convert me...i moved out...moved in with a sports girl...girl's roommate came back...I was forced to move. Now I have my own dorm.

Up until....2 weeks ago i had VERY FEW friend's and I made no effort to make friends. NOW....I finally went out there made an effort and have tons of friend's who are sad I am leaving as am I!!!! I never thought I would be sad.

Now, also I'm very stressed....
I am failing my one class..criminal justice....he told me he has to curve the class because about 72% of students are failing. I'm transferring to a community college next semester...3 credits won't transfer and if I do poorly in my one class...I will only end up with only 9 credits!!

I think I made a HUGE MISTAKE by transferring back home!! what do I do now?

Hi i am currently working full time in the evenings and am contemplating on going back to school for spring semester. I wanted to know if it were possible to do both online and regular classes together. Gaining credits as a full time student. Many classes are closed now and im seeing open availability for online and wondered if it were possible to do both. and will financial aid cover both?
Opinions and/or experiences are appreciated...thanx and happy holidays.

Hello Im a student of Devry university in SF going to fremont soon. I have been with Devry for about since Jan of 07, I'm going for my Game system programming or Game simulation. Now my question is... does Devry's GSP (Bachelor degree) Accredited and should I continue? I have heard and read some topics that devry had some lawsuit's with former students but were of 06 so its a little recent. And that some Degrees of devry will not be accepted by company. I am thinking of Transfering too a Community college like CSM, and or Skyline.

If you can answer these and help me here I would be very grateful. By the way I am looking for these answers while I wait for your answer. Thank you!

It's a part of an online application that says :
You may provide additional information on the ranking of your research areas (maximum 150 words).

but the other part that has asked for research interest areas, has the limitation of 50 words only.

So I wondered what the "100" words can be, instead of 1,2,3,...

cause they have asked for a statement of research in the other part and that has 500 words limitation.

How else I can complete it ? What is better to do?

Okay I have no extra-curricular activities. That means no sports, clubs, yearbook,etc.. But.... I have been helping my uncle with his landscaping business over the past two years, but it has been under the table payment. So I probably wasn't an official employee. What can I do to use this as an activity? Will a personal statement from him qualify?

Thank you.
If you need more details please e-mail me.

Third Short Answer:
3. OPTIONAL: Any information that you believe is relevant to our consideration of you as an applicant, but not already discussed or explained in your application.

Do they want a third paragraph about anything about me, or is this to explain things like classes not explained on my application?

Okay, so I am in my Sophomore year of college, and I am going to major in something business related: finance, accounting, management, marketing...but I am still undecided. I think I want to major in something concrete, like finance or accounting, because I hear that the pay is better starting out, but I would really like to get some peoples opinions. That's where you come in! A note is that I want to own my own business one day.

Thanks!
