Okay I have no extra-curricular activities. That means no sports, clubs, yearbook,etc.. But.... I have been helping my uncle with his landscaping business over the past two years, but it has been under the table payment. So I probably wasn't an official employee. What can I do to use this as an activity? Will a personal statement from him qualify?

Thank you.

No one needs certification of your employment, so you don't need a personal statement from him. Just say that you worked for (your uncle's name) in his business for two years. It won't really substitute for extracurricular activities, unless you are seen as being very low income and the money was necessary to support your family. Otherwise, it would be seen as your choice to make money rather than to be involved in school.

I didn't do any extras until I was a senior in high school. I have no idea if it helped me get into college or not.
