I have a question about college and I am wonderig if anyone can answer it. I am wondering what colleges I can get into. I have a 2.8 gps not weighted and 3.4 weighted. I got a score of 1580 on my SAT's: 540 math, 530 critical reading, 510 writing. I am not sure of my class rank. I am involved in a lot of extracurricular activities. I have recieved a scholorship for outstanging performance on my MCAS test. I am taking all honors classes. I have recieved many awards in sports and school. So I am wondering if I can get into:

1. Suffolk University
2. Assumption College
3. Bridgewater State College
4. Nichols College
5. Worcester State College
6. Becker College
7. UMASS Amherst
8. Framingham State College
9. Quinsiggamong Community College

If anyone could please just tell me my chances of getting into each and what ones you think I can get into. Any help and input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just finished a BS in Geography with emphasis in GIS with a minor in International Business. Funny I ended up liking the minor more then the degree but since I had been in school forever, I just went with it insetad of changing.

Anyone heard about the iMBA program through PSU? Is it difficult to get into? It is online but I dont see how it would fall into the crap hole of most online degrees.

My other thought was UNCharlotte. I will be moving near that area next yr so I thought maybe doing the partime MBA thing till I could go fulltime.

I see alot of these schools require job experience already? Is this directly related to that field you will be applying to?

Class: ISM- computers, Junior level. My 4 test grades are what they are, no problem. The problem is 11% of our grade was based on 11 weekly chapter summaries we handed in. After the first few weeks we noticed that she wasn't grading our assignments. We asked her when they would be graded. She said she like to wait until the end of the semester and do them all at once. We said then how do we know how we're doing, or if we're doing them right. She said they're basically do or don't do. If you do them and cover all the basic topics you'll get 100%. I was pretty confident I had done that since I spent hours doing each one. Now that grades are done, she gave me 90's on most of them. Next problem is the 5% for attendance/class participation. I attended every single class, on time, stayed until the end, while most other students skipped and left early. For participation I am a little shy but spoke a few times when I could knowing that participation counted. I got an 85% in this area.

My 25 year old cousin is interested in this field and is currently enrolled at a community college (but he was taking classes for something different). He just recently told me he wanted to become a radiologic technologist and was wondering what kind of courses he should be taking. I told him to talk to a career counselor but he just wants to have a little head start before he talks to one.

If anyone here has any info they can give me so I can help him out, I would appreciate it. Also, does he need to take a lot of math or science courses or is it more biology/anatomy type classes?

i always could get straight high a's if i tried and i did and i have been except in the end of 9th and in 10th grade when i was hit with major depression and i never saw the point in anything and had low energy and stopped trying. my grades dropped to b's and lower 'a's
i know im smart and could do well in college and get a good job but will that period in my life mean i won't get into college now? even if my grades are back higher?

Tell me what school you think is better from 1. 2. 3. 4.

1. Maryville University in Saint Louis
2. University of Missouri - St. Louis
3. University of Missouri - Columbia
4. Webster University in Saint Louis

This is more like a survey of what people think. So, your answer should be your 1st,2nd, 3rd, and 4th choice.
Note: I'm not going to these schools.

I asked this before and got someone giving me advice, someone talking about big/small campuses and what not... so please just answer the question. Feel free to explain but just answer!

Thanks a lot!

assistant program at the community college and my ACT is only 14. Pretty bad huh. I was 18 and not to much on studying at the time. Do you think I may do better on it this time around if I apply myself at the age of 35? I need at least a 16 and an 18 would be even better. :)

I got a B+ in AP Literature and Composition (English) and a B+ in Physics. I'm a Junior, and these are my other first semester grades,
Grad. Ex*: A
Native Spanish 3: A
Leadership: Pass
Chemistry: A
Pre-Calculus: A-
Will the B's have a bad effect on an application? Keep in mind that I want to get into either a UC (like Berkley) or a private college (like Stanford or Santa Clara). I always aimed for Stanford, but I'm starting to feel like it's getting out of my reach. Would it just be better to drop Physics and take a regular English 11 class and get a 4.0 (highest grade point average you can get at my school, A- is a 4.0, A+ is also a 4.0). I really don't want to but I need someone else's opinion. I mean, will colleges really take into consideration that I'm taking harder courses? I'm a nervous wreck right now, can someone please give me an honest answer?

*Grad. Ex is a class that Juniors or Seniors take at my school to work on semester long projects, that you must finish to graduate.

I just finished my first semester of graduate school. (MPA degree) I took 3 classes and I got an A, a B+, and a C+. These are good enough to keep me in the program but I feel like they're not stellar. I'm considering going on to get another Master's degree or a PhD after I graduate and I'm just wondering how my grades will compare to other applicants.

Thanks.

Hi, I enjoy analysing and investigating things, and taking many things into consideration and making accurate decisions and exact observations...can you recommend some suitable careers.

i am also a bit of an introvert, so please take that into consideration as well. I endure long periods of time by myself, but sometimes i feel the need to be around people.
