I also write for my town newspaper. I got a bunch of copies of all this, and I will be sending this when I apply to college this week. My question is, will they give this back to me after their done reviewing my application?

I don't want to make copies because I want it to be on the newspaper material. It would not be the same if it was just on white paper!

No, you cannot assume you will get any copies back. You need to make copies of everything. Congrats--sounds like a great application for journalism or English!

Don't send any original items along with your college applications. The process the review boards go through are long, tedious, and time consuming, and they aren't going to return any of your items to you.

Just be sure to send duplicates of the items so that you can safely say goodbye to them.

Probably not, so it's best if you make copies or whatever. I'm pretty sure you can save Apps on Common Application if you use that.

Obviously you'd have copies of everything...send them a copy not an original.
