I transferred before graduating, but that was because I entered a special program at the senior college. But if you've taken all the courses you can at the CC level, do it.

Most transfers will skip it as they see the ceremony as being a premature celebration. Also in most people's minds, it's the bachelors degree that warrants a ceremonial procession as it's a major achievement in academics. Compound that with how most CC's are commuter campuses, students don't really feel connected to their school as they do on a 4 year campus.

But it's entirely your decision to participate or not so decide on it yourself and not just do what everyone else is doing. Don't forget also there's a financial cost to it as you normally have to buy or at least rent the graduation regalia.

I agree with you. I am working on my masters in nursing, I started off as a nursing assistant, then a LPN, then a nurse with an Associated degree, then a Bachelors. Graduating each step of the way. Only gong to one, the nursing assistant cause I was young and did not know how far I was going to go. everyone in my family knows that we will only be going to my last graduation. Unless you are in to that kind of thing.

You have made your own choice and stick with it and do not walk. Transfer and you may be better off. And then you will not feel silly.
