Any of the UC schools (Berkeley, UCLA, San Diego, Santa Cruz) should be great for you. Look at the UC system in general.

Probably the two schools which stand out most in that area are the University of California at Davis and the University of California at Berkeley. Of the private schools, there are a number which have programs like that - Occidental College, several of the Claremont Universities, the University of San Francisco, Loyola Marymount University, and the University of San Diego all have related programs. A lot of the CSU (Cal State) campuses have it within the Biology major, and Humboldt State has a Wildlife Management major.

Hi there,
There's a great school for biology in Monterey, CA - California State University Monterey: http://csumb.edu/
If you want to move to California, the Monterey area is the place to be! It's a beautiful beach community, it doesn't have as much glamour or speed as LA, but it's my favorite place in the world! :-)
