hi, i thought University of Virginia's Mcintire school of commerce was available to undergraduates? like in bussiness week.com it ranked Mcinitre as the 2nd best undergrad school. But when i went on the Mcinitire website it said that i required to have graduated or be graduating in a liberal arts program within the next 12 month. In otherwords, i can't apply right after high school? please let me know if you guys know anything because this changes my whole application. thank you

McIntire is the undergraduate school at the University of Virginia (there are a couple of graduate programs there, and I suspect you were reading the wrong line), and the primary graduate school of business there is the Darden school.

What is going on is that you can't get admitted to McIntire as a freshman - you have to take the prerequisites and prove yourself in your first two years. Then you apply for admission to McIntire as a UVa student. I'll attach the link to how they make these decisions and on what criteria they depend. http://www.commerce.virginia.edu/admissions/undergraduate/application_process/current-uva-students.html
