Also, if you have an online BA degree for graphic design still give you the same chance of getting a job as an in-class BA degree?

I'm pretty sure you can't apply straight to the business school after graduating from high school so I was wondering what you are supposed to do to get into the business schools. What majors to take and how long before you get in?

Will going to an online high school still make me go to a good college (I've always wanted to be in the nursing field). I rather do my work at my own pace (Which is a lot faster than my school's pace)

Hi, I hope anybody could help me here. You see I'm sort of thinking about going into the RN career (more because of the money if I may be direct). My main question is: Once I become an RN, will I be able to find lots of time for other type of hobbies, like being at a sports team and theatre?

ok, I skipped 2 grades and I would like to get a scholarship if at all possible, whether it be in athletics or academics. I want to know if colleges can look at one's age, and are allowed to refuse them because of their age. it may sound ridiculous, but is it possible that colleges could say, "well, they're too young to enter college and can't enter the real world yet, so we definitely can't accept someone like that." I want the truthful answer, but I do get all A's in honors and am involved in 3 sports.

I mean, do I just jump into a pre med school when I get out of high school. go to a regular school nearby and get bachelor's degree THEN get into pre-med? and then what? is there just Med after Pre med? haha I'm completely lost and I have no clue as to what to do or what these schools are offering. I'm looking into Kettering and Emory currently.

Next year I'll be applying for a few colleges around this time but I need some help with possible majors and career paths to follow. I love animals but I don't want to be a vet or w/e. I used to want to be a zoologist but I am not sure about all the sciene classes and stuff I would need to take. I love school and teaching and being with kids but I dont know if I'd want to be a teacher or even what level. I also am very interested in television (esp. reality) and would be interested in doing things like decorating sets and stuff (like Big Brother house or Survivor challenges). I am pretty creative and do scrapbooking and stuff. I dont want to be in front of the camera either. I know I want to go to a four year college. Based on my interests, do you have any suggestions of majors that I might be interested in researching more? Thanks!

I'm a senior in Pennsylvania and I'm thinking about applying for MIT
My friend once told me that if i can get a high math score on the SAT and do well in math and science classes at school...i have a better chance of getting into MIT. is that true? So all u need is a 780+ in math section and high Bs and As in science and math classes? Or does MIT look at the reading section (equally with the Math section)?
My math section score was a 780 but my reading section score was low. I do have lots of As and high Bs in my classes at school (GPA: 3.6 out of 4.0), and i have lots of activites, clubs & work experience to my name. My SAT II scores are Math II: 750 and Chemistry: 800.
my mother tongue is not English but I'm not taking English as Second language. I can speak fluently in 3 languages: English, French & Indian Lang(Mother tongue)
I'm not a citizen of US nor a permanent resident-expecting green card in about 3-4 weeks-is this an advantage
What are my chances of getting into to MIT?

In my current situation my credentials will not allow me to gain admittance into a University (insufficient credits), so my action plan is to attend a community college for one year and then transfer to a University. Will I still be held accountable for not havings earned the high school credits--- and is there a way in which those credits could be earned, in order to be admitted to the University after having completed the 1st year at the CC level?

i'm a senior this year and i'm really nervous of getting into college. i'm aiming for CS Fullerton, CS Long Beach, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, and maybe UC LA (highly unlikely to get in thou)

oh one more question: do you think i'm applying to enough colleges? my friends are applying to about 10 colleges and I'm only applying to 4. Am I at a risk?

This is what I got so far:
-SAT: the highest is 1720
-SATII: Biology: 680, Math 2: 680, Japanese: 750
-GPA (not weighted): 3.67
-Clubs: Make-A-Wish for 3 years, 2 other clubs for 2 years, and publicity of Spanish Club (haha, i know~~~~) for a year
-Outside of School: Helped out at church ever since middle school and club volunteer works
-AP: Total of 2 AP classes in my high school years
-AP Test: Biology:5 , taking Physic this year
-I live in CA
-I was never involved with sports and music
-I completed the a-g UC required courses
-my personal statement is...not that good...

I got 5 A's and 3 B's on my IGCSE's. (International General Certificate of Secondary Education.)
Can somebody (Ehem... Ranto the Great ) please convert this to the American G.P.A. format? I'm doing my senior year in the US and I have to submit my university applications. Also, can you tell me if I have a chance with these universities?

NYU (1st choice)
Cornell
Carnegie Mellon
Boston University
Fordham
Pace
CUNY Baruch

My SAT scores were 1820. (1210/1600). I could only do the test once because I still have to do my SAT IIs before I can meet the university deadlines.

Any and all advice/help/answers will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Well, I'm a sophomore in high school right now and decided I'd just start to open up my horizon and take a look at some schools. I'm a good student, 3.9 GPA and I'm in a higher level math course right now. I've looked around and found some very high-level schools. Harvard, MIT, Stanford, CalTech, and Berkeley are the ones I'm shooting for. I was wondering if there are any other (possibly cheaper!) math colleges out there. I'll take any ideas.

i am recent graduate from 4 yr university with BA in communication. i will probably start to look for jobs in marketing or public relations. But i am very concerned about the work environment especially for women entry level employees.

not only because i think it's hard to get a job in this field, but also because I am worried of the possibility I will probably have to be under control of someone else either privately or officially at work..

originally i've been thinking of getting into law schools and pass the bar exam, but i was almost about to give up the plan because i was not so sure about my capability to cope with the numerous works and writings, etc. But now i again start to consider applying for law schools instead of looking for jobs in marketing/PR.

If there's anyone who's thought about the same issue or someone who has some idea about my worry, please leave a comment..

thank you.
