I am considering getting a degree in Interior Design after I receive my Bachelor's from college. I LOVE decorating and I believe that this is something that I would TRULY enjoy! Can anyone please give me some info or suggestions on what steps I should take to persue my dream?

Also, I'm currently in Business Administration but I'm considering changing my major to General Studies.

Is there a different time table for someone that already has a degree?

I have to take a course in epidemiology, but I'm not too strong in my math and science side. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it actually involves and how much of a disadvantage will I be?

I have looked it up, but all I seem to get is that it encompasses many different disciplines. I just want to know how much math and science it involves!

I am looking for information and opinions on the courses offered by Harvard Extension and UPenn Wharton in California (Called Wharton Lite by few professors I've asked)

Are they the same price, same respect, same instructors, etc as the main campus schools?

Thanks,

Hi, I'm doing the IB diploma program, earlier I asked a question, however I just realised that what I in fact should be asking is what IB subjects are good for studying Economics at University undergraduate level....

For those who don't know:
An IB Diploma requires a student to take 3 higher and 3 standard subjects. In addition, a certain amount of social work, activities, etc. must be done so I'll be well rounded in everything.

I've chosen English, History, Economics as HL -higher level and Maths Studies (lowest maths but it has intro to calc), Chinese B (foreign lanuage), and Chemistry as SL - standard level.

In your opinion, do you think that's sufficient background knowledge for being let's say, a economic analyst, etc? Or in fact, even getting into a good top uni in the US?

Thanks so much!

I never really wanted to go to the big university where i live. both my older brother and sister went out of state and loved it. money was never an issue. i started dating this boy almost a year and a half ago and now he goes my that big university where i live (the one i never wanted to go to). as this year progressed i thought more and more about going to the school where he goes, i dont know if it because i wanted to be close to home, or he went there or all my friends were going. but i got waitlisted and decided on the university of wisconsin which is far from where i live but i rationalized reasons why it could work, however the day i decided on wisconsin is the day i got into my states university. now i dont know which one to choose. i know some of you will tell me to go to school because relationships come and go but i dont want that to be your answer because i already know that. i want someone to tell me if i should go away or stay close and why.thanks!

I not entirely sure what exactly I want to do, but I know I want to travel. And so, career-wise I should learn a second language.

But which one?

I want to learn Japanese, since I always wanted to go there. Whether, by leisure, business, student exchange, or what have you, I have always wanted to go there.

However, I live in Miami and the Spanish community is huge. So, there is benefit to learning Spanish. Especially, if I want to go into business and deal with the Latin American sector. I want to go to Trinidad and Tobago one day to work, and there is plenty of interaction with Venuzuela, so I'll need Spanish.

Plus, I've already started learning Spanish, since it's the only language my school offers. So I'll have two years of Spanish when I graduate. Of course, I'll need more classes to refine it after high school and to make it usable on a business level.

But I'm not willing to let go of Japanese, so I want to take it in college.

Is it possible for me to take them both?

I have continued to read the hundreds of questions regarding online degrees on Yahoo! Answers, but I'm still left pondering.

I KNOW that you need to look for a nationally accredited online university - so please don't mention that!

My true question is, without biased opinions, but real experience: are online degrees looked down on in the career place?

Are people turned down from jobs that require degrees that they have received via online (from an accredited online university)?

I received my acceptance letter from UCLA last week; I just received my acceptance letter from Berkeley today. I'm absolutely torn between the two schools.

UCLA's communications program is more difficult to get into than Berkeley's...however, Berkeley seems to have the better academic reputation overall.

I visited the two schools already, and they're very different from each other...I don't know which school I enjoy more.

Does a college's program really even matter to employers?

Help!

seriously... I'm a second year college student. Last year I got all c's and d's and failed a couple classes, so I was on "academic probation" since september 2006, meaning I could only take 3 classes a semester. Usually you take 5. So, now I'm behind and I just found out I failed another one this semester. Ughhh it's so bad because there's nothing in my life that should be a distraction. I have a job but only have like 3 shifts a week, I don't go out on the weekends and I don't have a boyfriend. I just never seem to read the textbook, etc.
WHAT COULD I DO to improve my grades? What if I get kicked out of school? I would have to work.... but I really don't want to have to take time off to have two mininum wage jobs.

it doesn't matter if the college just caters to culinary arts or just includes the class as a major.

I'm a sophomore with 3.566 GPA. Importantly, I'm interested in Premed and/or Pre-Optometry. None of my family (through generation) weren't in any medical field, mostly in art. So I don't have much of HELP/ADVICE in Premed, which I definitely need help on ASAP. I'm planing to take AP: Bio, Chem, Physic B, Eng Lit and Spanish Lit (or Lang) during my next two years in high school. And other classes I need to take to graduate from my high school. AP Calculus (which is very important to take), somewhere in community college as my Running Start as soon as I get to be qualify at a certain level. To be honest, I really need to talk to a Premed, Pre-Optometry and/or Medical student for ADVICE...S!!! T0T ...SO PLEASE HELP ME!!! I truly don't want to be in a wrong road to be what I passionately want to be in a future. Thank You for your time! If anyone would like to help, please E-MAIL ME: tvxq_n_moi@yahoo.com

I recently received a called from an admissions rep saying that they received the supplemental information that I sent them and that I can expect to receive a final decision "soon". They also asked me if I had any questions about the school...Does that mean they may be interested? How soon is "soon"? When is the latest they will notify me? I'm very anxious, if you can't tell. Thanks in advance.

And I would really like to end up as an advertising manager, though I know that's not an entry level job. I just need some insight as to what would be the best major/course of study for me to take.

Can somebody please put my mind at rest.It is about referencing in a piece of work. I havent been acuused of cheating or anything like that. The piece of work which was questioned by my teacher was this part below, about existing research on blogs and gender.

"When looking at gender, West and Zimmerman (1987) find it is produced by people's interaction with others, and is a continued accomplishment; doing gender is something which people carry out daily. Lawley (2003) asserts that gender differences are prevalent in computer mediated communication.

I thought it would be ok because i have put in the names of the people and the date of the work. However, i didnt put these references in my bibliography. I found this info off the net. I couldnt find many books in the library. My lecturer said that i need to be careful and use my own words but im getting parnoid, thinking she may have gone and spoken to other lectuers. Should i just move on and learn my lesson.

I just went to my math class and we we took an exam worth a lot of points this morning. Aynhow, this lady in our class took her one or two year old child into the class in his stroller. The child apparently had a fever or something. The professor permitted her to take the exam inside the classroom with her young child in the classroom as well. She has let other children in this classroom before. I do not think childrenare allowec in a college class. Is this unacceptable in a college class?
