I currently work as an architectural drafter with an associates degree in drafting and design. I am interested in a bachelors in business online. Is this a good way to go if I want to get into construction management? Would an empoyer value a business degree for construction management since I have related experience?

I am senior in high school. Next year i am going to Sacramento State University. I want to to ultimately be a Pharmacist. Can someone guide me to what classes i should be taking my freshman year. What should be my major. What should be the title of my degree. How many years should i go to Sacramento State before transferring to UOP (University of the Pacific) or UC DAvis. I don't think Sacramento State has a pharmacy Program. Any help/reply/ is very appreciated. Thank You.

I know that transferring into the Ivy league is extremely challenging, considering the minimal amount of acceptances they admit per year. My question is whether it would be more advantageous to take 3 SAT II subjects or not. I know that they are not required for transfer students in most schools, but I would appreciate hearing from someone who really knows. I'm not sure whether I should concentrate more on SAT II's or on bettering my SAT I score, or on doing the ACT... Thanks!

i joined a sorority despite really wanting to join AKA. since they didn't have it at my school, i decided to just join the one i'm in. i'm transferring to a black college where they definitely have AKA and not the one i'm in. I REALLY want to be a member of AKA and even while pledging i felt like the one i'm in is definitely not for me. if i drop this one, can still join AKA when i transfer? what are the rules with pan-hellenic council and can they make an exception depenind on the sorority and chapters?

I hear this on news programs all the time. PhDs in, say, history being addressed as "Doctor". I spent many years in a university environment. People corrected me early on, saying only MDs (or medical-types) should be addressed as simply Doctor. All others must have their last name attached to the Doctor part.

Is this a universal etiquette or just something that was quirky to my campus?

What courses are typically required for entrance to med school? Also, if I have a high GPA as an english major, do I still need really high grades in those courses? I don't do well in chemistry classes in such a large university setting- I guess I wonder if this is something I should be concerned about.

If you want to become a pharmacist and get your PharmD degree (in college), would you have to complete your 4 years of undergrad before you enter the pharmacy college, or could you just apply to the pharmacy college straight out of highschool..

IBackground
My name is Caryn. I am an 18-year-old freshman entering a small private university. I am studying the visual arts and eventually plan to attend graduate school for a masters in fine arts.

Access Issues
Although I'm an art major, I have to take two English courses and four semesters of a second language that are required by the university. I have a language-learning disability which makes it difficult for me to understand and organize large amounts of verbal information. Writing was my most challenging academic area in high school. I was worried that I would not be able to keep up with the course workloads and failing a course my first semester was not an option.

Solution
Initially, I did not want to disclose my learning disability. However, I was very worried about these course requirements, especially since it was my first semester of college. I contacted my advisor in the art department and mentioned my concerns. After an appointment with the disabled s

Went to visit my child attending university and was astounded to see that they his roommates had a flat screen TV, video game systems, stacks of DVDs, a foosball table, and many varieties of alcohol lining the kitchen cabinets. They all had laptops and nice computers and fancy cell phones. When I was in university, I had a desk and a bed. We watched TV at the student lounge and there was only 2 tvs for all of us and we defintely didn't have cable. Luckily, my roommate had a typewriter so I could type my reports up neat. I can't image having half the stuff that kids have now. How do you even study?

im almost a junior and i havent taken my sat or act yet, but im doing a lot of volunteer work and im planning on getting a job + joining clubs b/c now that i know how to drive i can do it. my grades arent always the best but i always try my hardest, my parents are always yelling @ me but i usually will get As and Bs and some Cs and they say if i am planning on going to an out-of-state college i cant have Cs or Bs, only As. My GPAs for some semesters have been 3.0-3.5 but some have been like 2.9 b/c i got like 1 or 2 Cs. Basically I have never gotten Ds, I got one F in chemistry but I'm retaking it, and the rest have been mostly B's and some A's and some C's. Is that not good enough b/c that is what my parents say but I always try my best and I think I am doing good, but now I'm starting to think differently. Is that good enough if i do good on sats?

(like most ... 4 years of college, then 4 more years studying in that speciality)..... Is there any way for me to cut that time in half? Say, suppose i go to one of those crappy "one year colleges" .... and attain a degree that way... could i then, enroll to finish the last 4 years of school? (to go for a masters/field of specialty?) are the 'degrees' attained by those goofy "one year," "or two year" 'colleges accepted by larger universities, IF the degree attianed is relevant to course of study that will be pursued?
(Did that make.... ANY sense?....
