After this year im going to collage, go class of 2007 lol. But i was looking to go into Computer Science in Watertown NY. Always been good with computers and good in school with them, espcailly web page desgin, kind of thing. But seeing of course collage isnt cheap. So i was just wondering a few things about it, like if you guys knew anything about the course and if it was a good idea and would be able to get a good job from it. And also how the collage bill thing works, Im hoping to get about 1,500 from scholarships and i got about 1,000 in my bank, which isnt alot And how does it work to have to pay it off. Is it mainly after you graduate from collage you start paying it off. Or is it so much at a time. Im looking forward to going and stuff but still always stressed about paying for it and everything working out for the best. Thank you to all answers and help

that a nice social life is very important for academic success?

I think that having a great social life in college is key for getting good grades because it is MUCH easier to do well when you enjoy your life so I think going out and having fun is AS important as studying. Do you guys agree?

I'm interested in studying in both of these fields. I know that the Ivy League schools are all-around excellent places to study, but I was wondering if anyone knows of specialized schools, or any high-caliber schools with exceptional linguistics programs.

I used to attend engineering school, and will be returning part time this coming school year. However, I am not sure I will finish because of the senior design course. In that course, they push EACH and EVERY person there and interfere unduly in people's lives in order to make everyone into overacheivers. I was rejected from the engineering honor society for not being part of the "in crowd" and for having a life outside of the engineering college. I feel that they are going too far to increase their ranking and make themselves look good. It also seems like they are only trying to get more funding because of severe budget reductions, and are using students to achieve that goal. They constantly say "teamwork, teamwork, teamwork" in the first part of their brochure and the majority of the second part only cites internship/co-op statistics. The right hand side features more of the same from one of the overachievers. How can I get more comfortable with this so I can graduate?

I had no ambition in high school. I hated it and I was depressed. College is a lot better for me. But I'm not fully applying myself, I'm just average. If I step it up in college can I still make it as a nurse? And do high school grades affect my future?

I applied to several post Bac programs and the tension is killing me. I called the admissions office asking when I could get my rejection or acceptance letters. They told me at the very latest June 1. Since it is almost June 1 and I haven't heard anything from them I'm assuming I've been rejected. But why do they give out rejection letters last? Why can't they give them out first so the rejects can move on?

I could say family, I could say professors at my current college, I could say Hurricane Katrina, my desire to further my own education

Should I pull up some facts about the school to make it look like I know history on the place?

Also, HOW LONG SHOULD IT BE? It's an online application that shows only a sentence but when I hit enter I find that it can go as long as I want it. It's only for an application to be ACCEPTED by the school though. I'm not sure what they are looking for.

Words of advise?
