There is absolutely nothing embarrassing about that at all! Just tell yourself you are ready to make a fresh start and really succeed and finish your school. I am 21 also, I recently had to stop going school for a while due to financial reasons and I have no job so I am waiting till I get a job to be able to pay for school. I was attending school for 2 years and I was about to get my associates degree but unfortunately that's been stalled. I will definitely be going back this September and I'm ready to do this. After that I'm going to a 4 years university to get my Bachelors. I will never give up. Who cares what anyone thinks or says; this is about you! Keep in mind that we are in college not High School nobody really cares or even pays attention that you are back in school again. If anything the fact that you are trying to get an education and eager to learn and achieve a higher degree is an A plus. There are people out there who are in their late 20's 30's etc who are going back to school to earn a higher degree. We are still young and we have enough time to still do it. Don't worry about others you are doing this for your self
Good Luck!

It shouldn't be. Some of my best students were older - some up to 40. I do know how you feel, though. I dropped out for a year twice during my undergrad days, and I was convinced that everyone would shun me. I felt so old that I hung out with retired military veterans in their forties, rather than the students who were only a year or two younger than I was - it seems ludicrous to me when I look back on it now. By twenty-three I had my degree, just like all my friends did. Realize that the problem is with your perceptions of "normal", rather than with what you are actually doing. You should be proud that you are being persistent, rather than giving up, not embarrassed (a hint - no one will be able to tell that you are a year older than the average student unless you tell them your age!).

That's not embarassing at all! I've known people who are 21 and have gone to a 2 year community college for 4 years and still have nothing to show for it. I took a semester off (I'm 21 too), and it was kinda refreshing to go back to school, things hadn't changed at all. I don't think you'll notice any changes after just a year away. Good luck!

Nah, lots of people do that.

I didn't quit, but changed majors several times before landing on a career path.

So I was older than a lot of people, but there were others returning in their 30's and 40's.

You're on the path you want to go now. Go for it and be proud that you are!

they may well be extremely undermanned, or because of the fact it extremely is early in the term the duties of the incoming officers won't be exact. The outgoing webmaster won't have given the password to the e mail account. that variety of element. preliminary touch issues is a regularly occurring subject with college businesses, exceptionally smaller ones. do no longer provide up yet!
