I had calculate my grade for this spring for one of my classes and I end up with a 69% exactly 69%!! ahhhhh I'm only off by 1% to getting a "C" whaaaa. What can I do? I'm planning to talk to my teacher about that 0.1%. Do you think college professor will give students that 1 extra %?

I hope that there's a curve for this class...last time my professor said that there's not going to me much curve. Does he means there is, but barely?

I have 3 college degrees (so I have a LOT of expertise with this question). It really depends on the professor.

When you go in there, and show him/her your attendance record/your dedication and work - well, about 60% of the time, they ended up throwing me in the next grade level (especially when it was that close).

That's tough. But you have to understand that professors have to draw the line somwhere. Gather all your old assignments and exams for the class and see if there was any mistake in grading that you can point out. You should be able to make strong arguments for your case instead of looking like you are just begging for more points. Some professors do not change the grades after a certain time but it's worth a try.

Your off by 1% or at least 0.5% if you want to round up, not 0.1%.

Depends on the Prof., how many assignments you had, and if any extra credit was offered during the semester.

Most Prof. I've had don't curve at all. People whine about close grades to them all the time. They are unaffected.

As a college prof, I always have extra credit available for people who, like you, are SO CLOSE to the next grade level. Ask your prof for an extra credit project. Say you'd like to better demonstrate your knowledge in the course because you feel that so far your grades don't reflect what you actually have learned now that the semester is over.

your prof i'm sure already knows how close you were since he/she figured out your grade in the first place. so when you talk to them about your 69.9% they shouldn't be surprised since they should have gotten the same number when they were filling out their grade sheets. if the prof did not feel it was appropriate to bump you up a little at that time, there really is no reason to expect they will do it now. of course, it doesn't hurt to go there and ask.

sometimes teachers will bump you up depending on your grade..
you sort of need to read the teacher and how they are. sometimes it will piss the teacher off and they can maybe screw with you...but most of the time theyll just say yes or no...

talking probably wont hurt. just read the teacher
