im almost a junior and i havent taken my sat or act yet, but im doing a lot of volunteer work and im planning on getting a job + joining clubs b/c now that i know how to drive i can do it. my grades arent always the best but i always try my hardest, my parents are always yelling @ me but i usually will get As and Bs and some Cs and they say if i am planning on going to an out-of-state college i cant have Cs or Bs, only As. My GPAs for some semesters have been 3.0-3.5 but some have been like 2.9 b/c i got like 1 or 2 Cs. Basically I have never gotten Ds, I got one F in chemistry but I'm retaking it, and the rest have been mostly B's and some A's and some C's. Is that not good enough b/c that is what my parents say but I always try my best and I think I am doing good, but now I'm starting to think differently. Is that good enough if i do good on sats?

There are over 4000 college campuses in the USA. Many of them would be happy to take a B/C student, or even a C student, never mind an A/B student!

The real question is, why do you need to go out of state? Is there some particularl college you want to go to? What's the matter with the colleges in your state? Every state in the USA has a state university and all of the are respectable schools where you can get a good education. If money is a problem then you can go to your state u. and get a good education. If your family has some money and can contribute to your educational costs, then you can get scholarships and loans at lots of schools across the country.

Narrow down the real reasons why you want to leave home, and then you will be able to find a school that is a good match for you.

it relatively is unconstitutional and yet another mindless liberal theory. The electoral college isn't out of date. and is between the common components that makes us a republic particularly than a democracy. some human beings think of we are residing in a democracy right here yet for me as quickly as I say the pledge of allegiance, I pledge allegiance to flag of the USA and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands. the reality that we are a republic is asserted interior the form. the U. S. shape does not prescribe a favored vote for president. It demands that each and each state deliver the perfect form of electors to the electoral college to make your suggestions up on a president for the union. it relatively is as much as each and each state to come to a decision how those electors are chosen. the perspective is interior the state shape. the conventional vote on your state (which contains your vote) determines the electors that are sent to the electoral college. the reason for it is that the president represents the states and the union, no longer the individuals. individuals are represented interior the homestead of Representatives and the Senate. The President serves as chief government officer of the union and commander in chief of the militia in offering for the elementary protection of the union. What in no way counts interior the presidential election is the national ordinary vote. That way the president is elected by ability of the states no longer the individuals. The national ordinary vote lumps all electorate jointly. Electing a president that way might consistently have some heavily populated cities picking the president, no longer the states. some human beings argue that the electoral college is in place as a results of fact we did no longer have the communication then that we've on the instant. it is preposterous. the guidance might nevertheless must be carried on horseback and can get there no faster and it could have been carried on one horse for each state. it is merely yet another unpatriotic loony theory.

Your question should be
1. what do I want to be
2. what do I want to study
3. where is the best college for me, my major and my pocket book?

You then prepare yourself for your goals! Take the classes they will expect of you, achieve the grades and GPA they will want. Prepare for the SAT and do not OVERDO the clubs and jobs since they can affect your grades, be very choosy and choose something that is in tune with your future career goals. If you want to be a vetenarian, volunteer at the animal hospital or SPCA, if you want to be a lawyer, volunteer at the courthouse.
Your parents can yell, or not yell, it will make little difference if YOU do not get into some serious goal setting and handling.

Sure, you can go out of state like say University of Dallas or University of San Diego. There are always schools that'll accept really low GPAs in every state. The problem is what school you want to go to.
