I'm an incoming freshman for high school and even though it's super early, I really want to know the accurate requirements that you need to get into Stanford. Like how many high school credits and all of that stuff. (Not what you need to graduate form high school, but what Stanford wants)

READ CAREFULLY, must you really have 3?!?!? I'm in my second year of french and i can't stand my teacher (that i will have all throughout high school if i take french!) And she makes things hard and next year will be harder because it will be an honors french class!!!! So will I not get into college with only 2 years of language?!? ( I Have a 3.6-3.7 GPA and take honors classes, and do extra curriculars, so will taking only 2 years of a language hurt me?!?!)

but how is that possible if i don't apply for college for another few months?
Am I supposed to give a piece of paper to my teachers and ask them to write on it and give it back to me? I'm so confused. Can you please explain to me the whole process

University of Virginia (and many other schools in virginia) offer guaranteed transfer admission if you get at least a 3.4 gpa at a community college in virginia. Does taking this route look bad in the post-graduate world... ie i want to go to get my master's degree from a prestigious university... or do post graduate admissions officers only care about where you graduate?

I am starting college in the fall and desperatly want to become an english/creative writing professor. I will probably go to a small 4 year public university near me (because it is all i can afford) called the University of West Georgia. I was wondering if most professors that teach at 4 year schools have degrees at real prestigious schools like harvard, yale, berkeley, etc... (because that is the way it seems) or do plenty of them go to smaller, public schools
thanks

I am in the 11th grade.
My grades: My GPA ranges from a B to an A-
In school I do not do any sports, but I am in the French Club, the Book Club, The Bio-Chem Club, Environmental Club, and National Honor Society. Also I am in a school club that opposses using drugs. I have also been volunteering at the local hospital since the summer vacation before 11th grade and I plan on volunteering this summer and during 12th grade. In the 9th and 10th grade I took almost all honors classes and in the 11th and 12th grade I have taken the highest level courses I can take. I also have a job at the library. And eventhough I was born in America, I have been speaking Hindi since I was little.

So...Do you think I could get into these colleges:
-Boston University
-Boston College
-Columbia University
-Cornell University
-New York University
-University of Pennsylvania

What else can I do to improve my chances of getting into a good school?
Also, what else is on a college aplication?

I called St. John's and they basically told me that becoming a pharmacist is out of the question if im not in the pre-pharm program (6 year program)... this is because i would need a degree in pharmacy. This makes no sense to me.. Why is pharmacy so hard to get into and going pre-med is so easy. I wanted to know; can't I just major in chemistry or toxicology? And if I can.. How can I go about doing this? How long will it take? Will it be extra hard? Will this prepare me for the PCAT? And will a pharmacy school take me in with a degree in chemistry? (Can I have some answers from pharmacy students, pharmacists, friends or family members of pharmacists)

I think it IS a Mickey Mouse degree becuase many of the skills learnt in it can be learnt outside the course (e.g. on a job and during training).

Also, it's REALLY not necessary to give a DEGREE course over to learning how to dress the part for a business and how to give presentations!

I plan on going back full time and I worry that the economy might be in bad shape when I get out and I'll be stuck with quite a bit of debt and a job that won't help pay it off.

my professor told me if i don't go to my history final tomorrow i still get an A- for the course because i have been doing soo well on tests, quizzes, and paper. so pretty much means i'm exempt from final? but if i do go and take the final tomorrow i have a chance of making that grade into an A. or if i do bad on final it will go down. but i also have another final tomorrow right after the history final. a final in psychology of law which is really a difficult final because this professor is an a.s.shole when it come to tests. so should i just conentrate solely on the psychology final or should i go and take them both tomorrow?

im consider studying law in college but im not sure.... i love watching law shows and crime shows. i also love crime books and criminal psychology and basically anything that involves criminals... i think that because of this i should consider going to law... i have only 4 months to decide and im still pretty stuck.... what kind of skills would be required to become a good barrister? and what subjects should i be good at in school? also if you are a lawyer or barrister is law college difficult or enjoyable? just give me your opinion. i never tried debating in my school because it is not available... but if reading is important for law, im a very fast reader and i read a lot of books.

-Chemistry
and a minor in:
-Spanish

this should be possible because of the overlapping of courses in a bio and chem major right?

I suppose one would need a degree in International Studies and know a foreign language, but is that all that is required? Oh, and at what age do people get the chance to become an official ambassador?
