This is strictly my opinion, and I'm very pro higher education. I feel that you're paying for the class (either out of pocket or through student loans) so you should do the best you can in it. If you think you'll do bad on it though, I wouldn't take it and definitely concentrate on the other final. But if you think you can pull it off, go for it.

I'm a big worrier too, but if there's one thing I've learned it's that worrying only deprives me of sleep. If you don't know the material by now, more worrying and last minute cramming will only give you ulcers. However, while running the risk of contradicting myself, there is something to be said for studying right before a test. Scan over the material just at a glance, then make some outlines. It takes a while, but it helps. About an hour before you go to sleep, look over your outlines and go back to the text if something doesn't make sense. You absorb knowledge subconsciously while you sleep. Also try teaching material to a family member/pet/wall. It helps comprehension by thinking from the angle of a teacher.

Achieving an A- and an A is a big difference for a course, but having consistent good grades is more important. So, my opinion is, study as hard as you can for the psychology exam b/c you aren't guaranteed an A- for that, and if you feel you have time and energy left to study for the history exam take it on. Otherwise, I wouldn't. But in the end, it's whatever you feel comfortable with doing, you know your own capabilities, limits, and potential and therefore can make the best decision.

Take the final. If you really screw it up, don't turn it in and you get your A-. If you know you aced it turn it in. Your A- gets bumped up to an A or A+. Either way don't sweat the history final and spend your time prepaing for the psych exam.

Go, but don't study too hard. Concentrate on the psychology final. You have nothing to lose.

If it were me, I'd accept the A- in History and prepare for the psychology of law exam.
