First -- your essay is critical -- make sure you do a good job.

Second -- don't concentrate on what you have done, concentrate on what you will do. You want an MBA so you don't have to keep working retail. Use some of your past experience as a positive (talk about what you have learned working with the public) then talk about how you will apply that to your new job once you get an MBA. There is also no sin in not having a specific goal. Part of the purpose of getting an MBA is to put new possibilities in front of you so that you will have the ability to choose your direction after getting more educated on the possibilities.

Good luck.

I would write it myself if I were you. I wrote my own and as someone who has worked at 3 universities and read graduate applications, its better coming from you. If it's personal it may reach a decision maker better then a letter written from someone other then you. State you purpose for your MBA, you goals and look at the examples you found and borrow a thought but not the wording of one of those. If you take a minute and jot down some thoughts you will be able to come up with a statement of purpose.

Your problem is not so critical. You can write what is your skills, what is your interest about MBA program, your desired goal to reach in future, what is your possibility to reach that goal, your leadership quality, how you can work hard etc. Just focus on your ability to do well. You can visit some sites that may help you. I know some of them and mentioning here-
