but how is that possible if i don't apply for college for another few months?
Am I supposed to give a piece of paper to my teachers and ask them to write on it and give it back to me? I'm so confused. Can you please explain to me the whole process

Ask your teachers for recommendations. Tell them where you are in the process of choosing colleges and applying. This will give them time to write the letter before a lot of seniors start asking them in the fall, and I'm sure they'd appreciate it a lot. Then in the fall when you're applying to the schools, tell them which ones you are applying to so they can then send off the letter of recommendation to those schools. You might also want to give them a few addressed envelopes with postage to make it easier for them.

It's not absolutely necessary to ask right now, but it can help if you start early. All you really need to do is to ask your teacher for a letter of recommendation, and give them a stamped envelope. Since you don't know where you want to apply yet, you can address it later. Some colleges might want specific issues addressed in the letter of recommendation, so if you find out that that's the case, then you can always ask them to edit it. Also, you can always ask for more copies later on. Always be very polite when you ask, and always give them a stamped envelope (so they don't have to pay for postage). Your teacher should also sign their name across the seal to prove that you didn't look at it or change it or anything. However, your teachers have probably written letters of recommendation before, and know what to do. Talk to your counselor if you need more help. Good luck!

This is a good time to obtain recommendations because your teacher will not be inundated with requests and so will have more time for you. Here's a good way to do it: Ask your teacher if he/she can see you for a few minutes after school. Explain that you need a recommendation and that you would appreciate if he/she wrote one for you. Teachers generally send recommendation letters directly to the school guidance counselor, who then sends them off to the colleges to which you apply, so make sure you let your counselor know every time you apply to a college. Good luck to you!

Yea omg you totally need to start getting ready for college! A lot of students start preparing in the beginning of their juior year. So ur not late but u cud have gotten an early start. ok ur gonna need a lotta stuff. Im not sure of everything but teacher reccomendations is definitely one. Find good teachers that your eally hit it off with and who know you perosnally. That way they can show off your skills more deeply. Ok now try going for a scholarship! You have to, it'll really help u! ok if ur a minority like black or hispanic, you'll find a lotta different scholarships for just being that! if youre white sorry, ur gona have to apply to a regular scholarship. Talk to ur parent about this. They can help u. look online for different scholarships and apply to alot. The site (there's also a lotta books on this) will guide you on how to go about with scholarships.
For the rest of college stuff, talk to ur counselor. He will be happy to help u. Tell him what ur plans are and ask for their help to get there. Also talk to ur parents, teachers, and anyone you know that is in college, like an older cousin. All these people can help and guide you o your way to a new beggining where you become an adult.
I wish you best of luck!

First, this isn't as crazy as it sounds. You should already be looking at colleges and filling out applications, many of which require recommendations. Many applications come with forms to give to your instructor. Remember you usually have to apply a almost a year in advance for the majority of colleges.

Try this site for information on the whole college process:

Wait till you seize up with to the top of the college year. in case you ask too early, your instructors will possibly no longer remember whilst it particularly is time, or you may replace your recommendations approximately who you want to ask.
