I'm doing my MBA regular from Punjabi University Patiala, here in north India, im right now in my 2nd semester but my summer training is comming near and i've to decide about my specialisation subject for my 2nd year in MBA.
I'm very confused regarding choice. Being commerce graduate i've the choice for FINANCE and also i like HR, but i dont want to do marketing. So right now im very much confused regarding making the choice between FINANCE and HR.

Can anyone plz guide me pros anc cons for both these subjects. I'm unable to make up my mind regarding which one of them, i'll choose as my specialised subject in my 2nd year.

Hi guys. I hate to write this here, but I really need some advice.

I am a fourth-year junior at a University, and I've finished all my general education. I have SO many interests, and really no passions about anything. I have changed majors so many times, I feel ashamed. I have tried so many things, and while I would be happy doing almost anything. I can't seem to find that "calling" or "passion" to major in. Of all the classes I've taken (a huge range, little of everything), I did very well in everything but my first year of physics and psychology, and I attribute that to my first semester and not concentrating enough. I enjoy learning it.

People say go with your passion, I don't really have one. Or be career-oriented... I'd be happy doing many things. I just don't know how to choose, and I'd really like to graduate sometime within the next few years. Its only down to 30 credits of a major, and 18 credits of a minor.

Please, advice, anyone?

I'm a freshman at college and undecided about my major (big surprise right?). Just wondering how you decided upon a major, and how closely is your job now related to the major you chose?

Suppose I am accepted into both Cornell University and Univeristy of California at Berkeley. How can I really distinguish the two from each other (besides location/weather)? I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so I have been to UC Berkeley, but I haven't been to Cornell before. Please do not tell me to do more research because I have done so, and the information is all very vague; they both basically say "we are big and therefore we are good at almost everything and our student body is very dynamic". If you were me, which would you choose, and why?

Thanks very much for any help you have on this stressful choice.

I am graduating with My bachelors in social work May 7th. I just got accepted tp graduate school and I want to work in the school system so instead of doing my MSW I am seeking my Masters in school psychology. If there are any school psychologist out there, can you give me some feedback on whether or not this is a good field to work in? Thank You!

I'm giving myself a year to think about this. I currently work at a law library. I received my bachelor's degree in history two years ago and I am contemplating going back for a master's in Library and Informational Sciences. However...

...my original plan was to get my master's in history and teach at a jr. college. A couple of people told me that there was a way to do both. The director at the law library told me (after work one day) that it would be quite a burden to pursue two master's degrees simultaneously. A career counselor wants to set me up with someone who is both teaching history and working at a library (which I will do one of those informational interviews).

What should I do? I have two things I'd love to do but I'm conflicted. My original plan was to be a history professor but now I'm also interesed in library science (my grandma wants me to do this).

Any suggestions? For the record, I have given thought about law school but I have lost interest in it.

i think it's because i have no idea what field i'm going to get into and my professors being complete retards about helping me, so I figure what's the point . I realized I don't want to go into a career just to please my parents and other people who expect alot of me. I personally want to get an education, trouble is trying to get motivated to pursue it. my grades aren't the greatest. i'm at the point now where i just want to say forget it. any ideas?

I finished my graduate diploma in maritime & logistics management and doing a dissertation to obtain my MBA is taking up a lot of time. I feel that I'd save time by doing my PhD research straight away.

From taking Chemistry to Physics. Please evaluate if possible. I get good grades (I am in high school) B's and A's. Science is not my stong point, but I want to be a dentist, and this requires a degree in science, and you have to get all A's in college. Is this doable?

I want to Major in either criminal justice or graphic design, and minor in the one I don't choose for my major.
I have a 3.95 GPA, I will have worked on the yearbook staff 4 years next semester (my Sr. year), as well as the school newspaper. I am involved in a zillion volounteer projects outside of school and I've recieved state recognized awards for some of my writing.

If I graduated from college over 5 years ago? How does a non-typical student (not straight from undergrad to grad school) overcome this hurdle? I have not kept in contact with any of my instructors, and I was a good student, but I really doubt they remember me well enough to write a letter.

I am seriously thinking about withdrawing from my history class now since I don't know if I can come out of that class with a C or higher. With my dream of going to medical school, should I drop the class so it won't effect my GPA? Will dropping a class look bad to the admission counselors at a medical school?
