I am graduating with My bachelors in social work May 7th. I just got accepted tp graduate school and I want to work in the school system so instead of doing my MSW I am seeking my Masters in school psychology. If there are any school psychologist out there, can you give me some feedback on whether or not this is a good field to work in? Thank You!

You may want to look at what an MA in school psychology really allows you to do. From my experience it is mostly about administering, scoring and interpreting tests. It is a fairly narrow field and does not open as many doors as an MSW or even school counseling degree opens. DA

Well congratulations on your degree in social work! While I'm not a school psychologist myself, I was under the impression that most states require a school psychologist to have earned a Ph.d/doctorate in school psychology. You may want to check with your state department of education and their educational requirements for a school psychologist. I'm also not sure about job prospects since, at least when I went to school, there was only one school psychologist per school, and they tend to stay in those jobs due to getting tenure which pretty much guarantees that they are to keep their job. There actually is an organization for school psychologist I believe. I'll try to find it and post it. Good luck in your future endeavors :)
