No, Not even close. A masters can be optained in 2 years after undergraduate. It also does not involve intensive research like Ph.d. Ph.d. programs usually take 4-6 years to complete and a major work of research must be completed in that time. Ph.d's are also very focused on a certain subject. There is a big difference in the required work and time to complete. Ph.d has a lot more prestige than a masters, and is more difficult to obtain.

A master's lets you teach, it's only 60 credits [two years], and a Ph.D is a whole lot harder.
You usually need to publish a book and takes a whole lot more than 2 or 4 years.
I'm not even in college, and I knew that.
