Philosophy is a great thing to study to prepare you for any number of fields. The skills you learn (such as critical thinking, logic, etc) are useful for just about any job, so the undergrad degree is versatile.
However, unless you plan to teach post-secondary and research and publish a lot on the subject, there is not much reason to put the time, effort and money into a PHD (in any degree). That's just my .02 .

Drive a cab and/or panhandle. You might try life as a hobo, that way you could travel and share your wisdom. Seriously, work as a writer for a newspaper/blog and the most popular choice is teach.
