I realized I don't want to go into a career just to please my parents and other people who expect alot of me. I personally want to get an education, trouble is trying to get motivated to pursue it. my grades aren't the greatest. i'm at the point now where i just want to say forget it. any ideas?

Once you get into the real world, you are going to realise that you should have finished college. I myself never went to college and couldn't afford to go anyways. I didn't regret not finding a way until about 10 years down the road. Be fortunante you have the opportunity and take full advantage of it. It means whatever you do, chances are you will make more money. I am good at computers, graphic design, digital editing, video editing, networking, and such but do not have that piece of paper saying I know what I'm doing. So no one is going to hire a guy like that.
Do it for yourself and what you want in the future.

Maybe a trade school is a better choice for u, do like working with ur hands, if so, then an education in business would not make u happy. Trade schools offer educations in carpentry, cabinet making , plumbing, heating, electrical work, all decent paying jobs. Or, if u prefer, the health field is wide open and does not require 4 yrs. of college....x-ray tech. lab,
even nurses r in demand. Final word, without a diploma or certification of some kind ur future is pretty dim.

Take some time away from college and experience the world. Go back when you feel you are ready.

Because you haven't hit the job market yet. :)

Maybe try a different school.
