I have been accepted to Carnegie Mellon and Caltech. I wana major in Computer Science. Which one of the two would be better and why?

First of all, congratulations! Both are very prestigious schools.

You really can't go wrong with either.

I couldn't find rankings for undergrad programs, but Carnegie Mellon is often top ranked for their PhD program in Computer Science. I'd be inclined to go to Carnegie Mellon because many of those professors and grad students in that top ranked program may also be teaching the undergrads.

Cal Tech for sure. It is the Best college in the US hands down. I do have to say though that if Carnegie Mellon is your saftey school you are doing well for yourself.
