I am a Ph D in medieval arms and armour; speciallized in swords and body armour. Would Georgetown University be the suitable University for me to teach my speciallization there; especially that the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian Institution are very close (not to mention Dumbarton Oaks)? If not, what are the best universities where I could teach medieval arms and armour there? Would Yale or Princeton be more suitable for this field? What about Stanford and Columbia? What about Harvard? What about Public Ivy Universities like UT at Austin?

Thanks a lot in advance for any information you could help me with regarding my inquiry.

i have been accepted to temple university and college of saint elizabeth which is a women's college in NJ. I want to go to cse but my parents wants me to go to temple. i'm really in a dilemma! From what i've seen of cse on the website it seems like a good school. I've even talked to some students from there. Cse was on the US News and World Report too. On the other hand i didn't like temple at all..especially its location..my parents think that i should go to temple because it would be good for me in the long run. If anyone has heard of cse can you plz suggest what i should do?

I mastered maths entirely by myself. There is no point in attending those classes since I can read those textbooks, try out problems and check for the answers until I get it right. I actually became smarter than all my teachers at the end of each course at solving problems.
Was it just my strong inclination towards mathematics, or is it the same for everyone?

The only college around here that offers my major is a private, catholic, all girls college. (Otherwise I'd have to go out of state or 4.5 hours away)
I'm not against it, but I'm not 100% for it.
I know I'll keep my focus in school, but I'm worried, where will I find guys to date?
I've heard there are a lot of lesbians, is that something really worth worrying about?
I'm really confused, thank you for any help.

I'm really interested in going to Pomona for college (if I can even get in... I know they're very selective), and I was just wondering if anybody out here went there? Or knows somebody that did? I'm interested in finding out about the vibe of the school and the city, what it took to get in, blah blah... Thanks!

So currently I'm studying to be a biomedical engineer and I found it interesting and what i wanted to focus on but now I've seem to have lost the passion for it plus I really dont have any friends here which makes me feel miserable, and im truly not happy here . I've seriously have been considering transferring and studying game programming since i have been playing video games since i was three and have always found it interesting, the problem is that I feel if i do transfer I will have wasted my parents money and they'll be mad at me for it. What should I do???

Sorry for the long question but this has really been bugging me
Thanks

My goal is getting into a great medical school. Would it put me into disadvantage if I major in Econ? I'm already into my second sememster of freshman year at college. and I've decided to do Pre-med kind of late. But is it still doable though?

For instance, I really want to go to MIT. Lets suppose I go there. Can I hoose who is going to be my physics lecturer for a specific course?

I mean, there is a teacher there that I really really like. He explains everything so well and it would be great if he could be my lecturer. Is that possible, to choose who I want to lecture to me?

Sorry if that seems like a silly question, but I need at least an answer... according to your experiences, guys.

Thanks.

My transcript is really really ugly. I got average grades in 1st year, horrible grades in 2nd year (that put me in academic probation), and extremely horrible grades in 3rd year. I was required to withdraw from the university after 3rd year because I was getting grades of mostly 30-40% and even a 0% and a 2% for a couple of subjects. The university requires me to complete a year in a college before reapplying. I am doing that now and getting relatively better grades and am pulling my life together. I now have a goal of reapplying and finishing my degree, then applying to teachers college and maybe graduate school after that. I'm just wondering if my past grades on my transcript will hinder me from getting into those programs. If I am readmitted to the university and I finish my 3rd and 4th year with stellar grades, will my past grades matter and affect my chances? I would appreciate your opinion. Thanks.
