I am a UC berkeley student, I have a 3.86 in molecular cell biology and scored a 38 on my MCATS. I need a 1 year job that will pay relatively okay and will look good to medical schools. I really dislike lab research so I want to avoid that if possible. Any suggestions?

Here's a list of colleges that have emailed/mailed me (all end with university or college): Austin, Baylor, Birmingham-Southern, Boston, Brown, Case Western Reserve, Centenary, Christian Bros., CO School of Mines, Colgate, Columbia, Fordham, Illinois Wesleyan, Kettering, New York, Rhodes, Rice, Southern Methodist, Texas Christian, Chicago, Trinity, Tulane, Missouri-Rolla, Miami, Rochester, Washington and Lee, and (finally) Washington in St. Louis. I'm a sophmore, from Louisiana, and I have an interest in engineering (either mechanical, automotive, or test). Anyone have any advice with a major in engineering?

I applied to UCSC, UCLA, UC Davis, UCSD, UCR, Cal Poly SLO, and Sonoma State. I already got accepted to Sonoma and Riverside, but i dont want to go there at all. there were backups.
and IF i get into the other colleges, which one is best for me?

I initially put English or Communications are my major since I am good at creative writing and poetry. But i know i will probably living in a box w/an english major. I'm taking a photography class right now and it has crossed my mind as a career choice. Perhaps photojournalism. And graphic design too. since i have learned knowledge of graphic design and learned pagemaker and InDesign through yearbook class, now i'm senior co-editor. the career has crossed my mind.
I'm not sure what my major would be, or what i'd do with my life for a career. I'm good at creative writing, poetry, photography, and graphic design (designing layouts and stuff), what can i do?

This is a field I'm interested in, so if you majored in mathematical psychology (please, don't answer if you majored in math or psych) could you answer the following questions?

1. Where did you go to college/uni?
2. What kinds of classes did you take?
3. What was the work like in terms of difficulty?
4. Do you genuinely enjoy what you do?

I go to a medical magnet school. I'm a Hispanic male. I have a 2060 SAT (710 M, 710W, 640 CR). On the SAT IIs: 630 MathII, 610 Bio, 680 MathI.

I'm ranked 34/181 students. My weighted GPA is a 94.48. I've taken practically all the AP classes offered, except language. I only went to the 3rd year sophomore year.

I've gone to state for UIL Spelling and Vocabulary, HOSA (medical organization) Medical Spelling and Dental Terminology, 2 Science Fairs (ExxonMobil and TJAS), and UIL Solo and Ensemble (literally both I've gone for) Choir

I'm in a million clubs, but I'm the president of our HOSA chapter, in Student Council, NHS, SHS (Spanish), Mu Alpha Theta (math club)

There are some colleges/universities that do not look at the credits that you'd received from your associate's program, and simply ask if you have an associate's degree when you transfer to these colleges/universities to be admitted into their bachelor's program. Other colleges/universities however are willing or require to take a look at what credits from your associate's are transferrable to the Bachelor's.

AIU (American Intercontinental University), for example, did not want to take a look at my associate's program transcript and immediately made me start taking their standard courses after admission whereas FMU (Florida Metropolitan University) did ask for my Associate's transcript to see what credits could be transferred and did. However, AIU ended up being 10 grand less than FMU (after FMU received all transferrable credits).

I am serious thinking about becoming a LPN. It will cost me 8,000 for one year of community college. Is it worth it? My friend told me yes, because i will earn twice that in one years salary.
What do you all think?

okay im in terrible because of two of my teachers and my counsler!
Here's the deal.....right now for next year i have AP Lit, AP Psych, AP Bio, Honors Pre Calc, Gym chemistry, and study hall
*KEY info you need to know: I want to do pre-med in college
Now my problem is that my current human physiology teacher thinks i should take physics (instead of chem- i took it already but i'd liek to improve my grade in it) because he says i'll be lost in college if i dont take it in highschool.
My counsler thinks i dont need physics and that i shud do chem or sumthing liek that.
My sociology teacher thinks that if i wana do pre-med i should take the CNA nursing program which is offered through my school at a community college for PRACTICAL experiance. Now this class upon completion gets me a lisence as sumthign in the nursing field setting me up with experiance along with the vollunteering i do. I like the way this sounds because it gets me qualified to work in a hospital enviorment wen im 18

I'm currently in my last semester as an undergraduate. I plan to enter law school in Fall 2008 and in the next year I plan to work full-time. Right now I have relationships with some faculty members who I know can give me strong recommendations. My question is, is there a "time limit" on how long recommendations are generally considered "recent?"

I will start sending in applications to law schools in September-November. Should I ask for the letters now or wait a few months?

I am a highschool sophomore and I just took a practice DAT (dental) test just to see how well I did.
Some of the things on the test were absolutely hard and I did not know it had anything to do with dentistry and other things were medium but I should have known them because it seemed to be something of Biology...
I took Biology as a freshman and didn't do soo well, and I'm wondering if during college they are gonna prepare me better for the DAT test or is it things you need to before you enter college. Out the whole 54 paged test I swear it seemed like I only got the example questions right.. Am i barking up the wrong tree if I'm not the greatest with Biology?
Even though i haven't taken chemistry yet, am i prepared for it, since I didn't do that well in BIology?!
I need some expert advice here :)
