I don't know what to major in when I'm in college if I want to become an Optometrist. I heard there are only 12 schools or so in the U.S. that offers a graduate degree for Optometry.

17 schools apparently. Not much.

You're not looking for any particular major. That's pretty much true for all of the big medical jobs. You have to fulfill certain prerequisite courses to be eligible to go to the grad school of your field.

Check each optometry school for their particular list, but here's one of them:
