I applied to UCSC, UCLA, UC Davis, UCSD, UCR, Cal Poly SLO, and Sonoma State. I already got accepted to Sonoma and Riverside, but i dont want to go there at all. there were backups.
and IF i get into the other colleges, which one is best for me?

I initially put English or Communications are my major since I am good at creative writing and poetry. But i know i will probably living in a box w/an english major. I'm taking a photography class right now and it has crossed my mind as a career choice. Perhaps photojournalism. And graphic design too. since i have learned knowledge of graphic design and learned pagemaker and InDesign through yearbook class, now i'm senior co-editor. the career has crossed my mind.
I'm not sure what my major would be, or what i'd do with my life for a career. I'm good at creative writing, poetry, photography, and graphic design (designing layouts and stuff), what can i do?

After reading a couple responses i have to add that i'm resisting from UCSC because it's nearby my house. i want to get away from the house, ie: parents. but i know UCSC is pretty much the creative writing one.

Your major will probably change a couple times once you explore the different majors and career paths available to you, so don't worry too much about it now - spend your first coupel years fulfilling your general education requirements and exposing yourself to different fields of study.

I would recommend UC Santa Cruz, since you're a creative type. The Santa Cruz area in general, and the university in particular, really encourage creative exploration and artistic integration, and the natural beauty that surrounds every buildign on campus will certainly inspire you. Davis and San Diego are also good schools, and UCLA offers a top-notch education to rival any Ivy League school, I think Santa Cruz might fit best with your skills.

However, if you're seriously interested in journalism, a hands-on experience as a writer for the UCLA Daily Bruin would be of enormous value. Scores of journalists and Pulitzer Prize winners are alumni of the Daily Bruin staff.
