What are you going to college for, and why or how did you choose that subject. I can't seem to figure out what I want to do, and I'm interested in what others are doing......

I am finishing my MA in International Relations soon and would like to apply for my PhD. The problem is that I did not do great on my GREs, average on verbal and 6.0 on my analytical, but very poor in math. My GPA is also kind of low for a grad student (about 3.2). I was curious as to how likely my chances would be of getting into a decent PhD program, like top 20 or so? I've been looking at a few good schools, like UCLA, Boston College, Northwestern, George Washington, Vanderbilt, etc. Any chance of someone with grades and scores like mine getting in here? I'm just not sure of the quality of schools I should be focusing on, thanks.

When you go to California,San Diego is a great place to visit(I am exactly sure it can`t be put here). because of the many exciting things to see and do there.First, you should visit the Gaslamp Quarter. In this historic are,you can easily find food, fun, and culture.Next, you should visit Seaworld to see the amazing animal shows. After you visit Seaworld, you should see a football or baseball game at Qualcomm Stadium. Finally, you should see the animals at the world-famous(adj.) San Diego Zoo.If you decide to go to the zoo,do not forget to see the giant pandas and Hua Mei,the only panda cub in the United Stated. If you visit one,two or all of these San Diego sites,it will be a fun and interesting day!

My teacher is giving us an all essay test and she said study "everything." There's 8 chapters we had to read... but how the hell do I narrow it down? I'm so lost. It's only one of two tests and I kind of want to punch her in the face. She gave us zero direction.

Hi. Alright so I am a freshman and I am currently going to a community college. I don't know where to transfer, but I'm pretty sure I want to be an art or english major. I want to move reasonably far away, and attend a University. I want to dorm, but I want a relatively private dorm (at least as private as sorta possible, like if there's any with independent bathrooms) and I really want the campus to be open and nice. I currently live in Southern California but I am willing to travel. I don't have money (not much anyway) but I'm saving up and hoping to get a loan. What are some good colleges do you think!!?? Thanks!!!

Just wondering, for those who have majored in psychology in college, what sort of things do you learn? And how exactly does science tie into this?

Also, in high school, I know it is important to focus on science courses but which courses specifically? My school does not offer a psychology class and I plan on taking one in the summer but should I focus more on biology, chemistry, or physics, etc? Which would benefit me more?

Ok I know this is going to sound strange, but is a relationship with a 53 year old women possilbe for a 27 year old. I recently found out that someone I was just talking to as a friend online would want a relationship with me, the only thing is she is 53.

She has a lot of qualities I like she is very sweet, honest, religous, and has an open heart. The age doesn't really bother me, but is this acceptable?

Can a 53 year old be intimate with a 27 year old man? I need someone who I can be intimate with. At 53 things don't function anymore right?

I want to go on at least a few dates with her regardless, because I do like her and she is very nice too me and it has been a long time since anyone treated me this sweet.

I remember reading about somebody that was applying to grad school and was asking how to increase undergrad gpa. The journalist said they could take more classes (probably at that same school). I was thinking I could take some continuing education courses to increase my undergrad GPA before I apply to grad school. Is anyone familiar with this? I'm fairly certain this can be done because I remember reading about it. But I was wondering if anyone else had heard about this or knew of any accounts. Thanks.

Okay, I've heard that there 's a list (a-g requirement) and stuff and that the colleges only calculate the grades for those subjects (doesn't include classes like Health and if you took like 5 english classes only 4 will count because that's what they're looking for). I've also heard that they include ALL subjects...so how is it really?

A lot of stuff has gone on in my life in the past two years, I'm a HS sophomore, my GPA is 2.8. I had to deal with so much stuff, it began to kill my motivation for school, but I'm over that now, I need to work my butt off to get this GPA up in the next two years.

What would you guys recommend? What is the highest I can raise it to with 2 AP classes next year, along with 5 other regular ones? All A's, I'm serious, I need to do this and I will do it, I just don't know how to calculate it, any help? I want a 3.5 before I leave HS, I will do anything, is it possible?

I went all through college pushing myself insanely to get great grades. Now in my junior year, it seems as if I have kind of given up. I barely go to one class (which I can repeat I learned, but it replaces the grade and the damage will have been done to my GPA) because I have lost my "mojo" most of my other classes I have done OK. In one class I will at most make a C because I didn't bother to turn in a paper. So now I am asking strangers on the internet for advice. So am I screwed up. I had a 3.93 that I worked my a#@ off for. Can I save my grades? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
