Some top university has slot especially reserved for community college students. So I want to ask if its easier to transfer from a average college (such as Rutgers, American University, Stony Brook, Boston University, etc) or your local community college to a top university (such as NYU, BC, Michigan, Virgina, Florida, UCLA, etc). Thx for the reply

OK, I'm a freshman in high school and I want to know what colleges/universities are best for journalism and that I have a chance with. As of right now, I have yet to take ACT (we dont take SATs in my state), and I have all As in my classes but we dont have APs or anything like that offered. These are my activities so far and I'm interested in Northwestern U, UNC-Chapel Hill, and NYU.

Volleyball-2 yrs., Student Council Rep - 2 yrs., Class Officer- 3 yrs. Color Guard - 1 yr., Jr. High Dance Team - 1 yr., Newspaper Staff - 2 yrs., Co-Editor 1 yr., The Tattoo Staff writer-1 yr.

Do you have any suggestions of things I could do to improve my chances of getting into a good school?

You hear it all the time, "In order to have a good career, you NEED a univeristy degree". But is this really true? Does anyone know of any surveys, or statistics that state whether or not ppl without university degrees go on to be quite successful? Or do university graduates tend to be much more successful?

I probably start studying Aerospace engineering when i reach 21, but my friends say that it's oo late then and you should start when you're 19 or 18. well i can't start now(i'm 19) and have to wait almost 2 years. they say it's better if i study something else which will only take 2-3 years to study...... but i wanna study aerospace engineering. it's not actually late when i'm 21 right? i know i have to study for many years to become an engineer(but it's what i like).

GPA: 2.88
ACT: 26
SAT: 1990
SAT Chinese: 710
SAT Math: 660

AP Classes

AP Chemistry
AP World History
AP Government

I also have many volunteer hours at public libraries helping children.

What are my chances of getting in to a UC? Which ones and what are my chances...?

I have heard so many mixed things on online education and I am wanting to get my MBA with a focus on accounting. There are no schools close enough for me to take classes in the traditional manner. I have to take courses online in order to get my degree. I am wanting to get my CPA when I complete college. Are there any schools that I could get a valid degree and also be able to take my state CPA exam?

I'm looking at classes for next term and I'm considering taking 4 history classes back to back (many are only offered in the Spring).

How many of you take many classes from the same subject area (i.e. business, writing, math, whatever). Did you regret it? General feelings?

I am a history major so I do enjoy history...I'm just not so sure about 4 classes. Especially since two of them are 400 level...hmmm....
