I'm a pre-pharm student and I currently volunteer at a hospital pharmacy, but I know it would look better on my pharm college app if I'm a pharmacy tech..plus I'd be getting paid! Anywho..I heard that you could just take some type of test and get on-the-job training? Give me all the info you know!

In most states, you don't need to take any exam or have any formal education to become a pharmacy tech. You'll need on the job training which your employer will provide. Since almost everyone who applies to pharmacy school is a pharm tech it is no longer a plus.
