Then look into joining a police academy. Technically, you usually don't need a college degree to be a police officer. However, it may be advisable because a college degree (especially in certain subjects like Criminal Justice) merits you a higher pay when you graduate the academy.

Ummm,...try out at the police force, go to human resources and pick up an application, but first you must either have a degree or have done time in the military....before you can be an officer....
Finish school, get great grades, participate in some clubs and organizations like Student Council, Class Officer, etc....graduate and keep that dream sweetie, we need more good police officers out there!!! Best wishes to you, God Bless!

To be honest, probably any college is good, just pick an affordable one.
Personally I would say that if you want to go to college to become a police officer why not try to get into the FBI? It is an even better use of your college degree and is still law enforcement. I have a friend who works with Customs investigating drug smuggling etc. and he LOVES it.

John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City has a good program. You can study police science, or a wide variety of criminal justice subjects there. I have not found a good ranking of undergraduate programs in these subjects, but Johhn Jay's graduate program in criminology is ranked #11 in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report.
