I probably start studying Aerospace engineering when i reach 21, but my friends say that it's oo late then and you should start when you're 19 or 18. well i can't start now(i'm 19) and have to wait almost 2 years. they say it's better if i study something else which will only take 2-3 years to study...... but i wanna study aerospace engineering. it's not actually late when i'm 21 right? i know i have to study for many years to become an engineer(but it's what i like).

21 is still very young if you want to go on to study Aerospace Engineering and like everyone says, or most people anyway, you're never to young to start learning something (new). I am 26 now and I just started college 3.5 years ago and am doing psychology which take about 8-10 years in total (including the already taken 3.5) to reach my Ph.D in research psychology, but you won't find me quitting! If you like something and now its what you want to do, don't let anyone stand in your way or bring you down!

My husband IS an Aerospace Engineer, and at 21 he was half way through pursuing his Bachelors degree. He is now 23 and working on his Masters. The reality of degree seeking is that it's never too late. The norm is 18-19, but that is only b/c that's when many people go to college. Don't feel pressure to start at any set age, if you can't or don't want to start until 21, that's ok! Stay fresh in your math, and the "hard" sciences, and you will do just fine! It's a challenging field, but it's also a rewarding field (pay is pretty good too!). Best of luck!

aerospace was only a 4 year program at my school... but a lot of engineers do go back for graduate work so whatever...
21 isn't too old, I know a lady who got her degree at 34.

I personally believe it's never too late, 21 is actually good. don't let your friends bother you about 'your' future.
