What kind of work could I get with that degree? Would it even be worth going to school for an Associates degree in that field? I have read a lot of other post that say you need a masters degree to set yourself apart, but I do not have that much time. I need to get in and out of school fast so I can start working. Any help with this career decision would be helpfull.

...as stated i'm an accountant major in my second year, and i'm planning on going to law school. Should i change my major to something else like general business or business administration? several people tells me it makes no sense to be an accountant major and want to go to law school. But even if i don't want to do one, i can all ways do the other. and they also tell me that i'm going to be a crook like the rest of the accountants but i really want to be a lawyer...any suggestions?

Should I sart college right after I graduate or should I wait?
Also, I already know that I will be attending a community college.
When should I start applying?
Are there any tips on helping to choose my major?
My strong points are English and Psychology but I don't know if that is something that I want to do for a career.
How do I know for sure?

I'm from Michigan, but I've been thinking of applying to Hunter college in NYC, or Baruch College (dying to get out of the midwest). Which one of the two (or any other schools that you know of) would you recommend? I'm not quite sure yet what I will major in, possibly business/advertising/public relations, but I was looking for a good liberal arts school in the area. I was planning on attending either of the two for a year or so, then maybe transferring to NYU. Anyway, if you've ever attended Hunter or Baruch, what was it like? What were the students like? Housing (or lack thereof)? Would it be better to rent an apartment? What are the areas of the school like, safety wise? Is it a gay-friendly school?

Thank you so much!

I am looking into going to UVA, applied, hopefully I will get in. But when I was looking at the majors, none directly connected to being a doctor. There was biology, but i have no idea if that is it. Also there is the school of nurse, I think that is just for being a nurse. So I needed some help firguring out the course of my education if in the long run I am going to medical school. Tkz in advance.

I'm currently a high school sophmore and I've started looking at colleges. I want to eventually become a guidance counselor. I live in NJ and don't want to go too far from home. Colleges I'm looking at are Loyola College in Maryland, Millersville University, Shippensburg University, The College of New Jersey, Villanova University, Canisius University, and University of Hartford. How difficult is it to get into these colleges and how are their education and psychology programs?

Writer to ‘Dear Abby’ Faces Child-Porn Counts

MILWAUKEE — A man who wrote to “Dear Abby” for advice on how to handle his fantasies about having sex with young girls was charged Wednesday with possessing child pornography after the columnist turned him in, authorities say. Paul Weiser, 28, was charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. He was ordered released on $10,000 bail on condition he avoid computers and contact with anyone under 18. Police said 40 pornographic photographs of children were found in his computer after his arrest Monday. “He acknowledges he needs help and denies ever acting upon any desires,” said prosecutor Paul Tiffin. “Dear Abby” columnist Jeanne Phillips, daughter of column founder Pauline Phillips, called police after receiving the letter. Jeanne Phillips, who shares her mother’s pen name, Abigail Van Buren, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel she agonized over whether to report Weiser, since the column’s credibility is based on anonymity given those seeking advice. “I lost sleep. Didn’t sleep for days, because I really believe this man wrote to me genuinely seeking help,” she said. “I was torn, because my readers do turn to me for help, yet there was the priority of the safety of those young girls.” She was said to be traveling on Wednesday and did not return a call seeking comment. Weiser could get up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each count, if convicted. He did not speak during Wednesday’s court hearing except to answer “yes” when asked if he understood the proceedings. A preliminary hearing was set for March 25.

I'm looking for a good school for film and animation. I want to go to a school with emphasis on the writing, storyboards and the other early stages of animation but either way is fine. I'm already considering Pratt, NYU, RIT, RISD and CalArts. What other colleges would you recommend I look into? or even which of these colleges above would be the best suited for me?
