Getting into school is the issue not whether you can become a physical therapist. Excellent? Not necessarily. There are several criteria for getting into different schools. You should check into whatever school you would like to take your course of study in and then find out what their admission requirements are. Sometimes, if your high school transcripts are not as admirable as they need to be, you can get in on a probationary basis and once you have proved yourself for a quarter or semester you are on your way!

Unless you go into a direct admit program such as Marquette (where you are admitted as a freshman and get to stay in the program as long as you maintain a certain GPA), then no, high school transcripts are not considered for admission into PT school. College GPA, however, is HIGHLY considered for admission into the professional phase of a PT program. Most schools require at least a 3.0 GPA for the prerequisite courses (chemistry, physics, biology, psychology, anatomy, etc.). However, the average GPA of students actually admitted into the program is usually much higher...3.6 where I came from. Other considerations include an interview, writing sample, your GRE (if required for admittance) are other criteria used for admitting PT students.

Yes. Entrance to Physio programs are often as competitive as Med School. It is a highly growing field, and many of the courses require an aptitude for science. You can upgrade, or you can apply to become a physio assistant at a community college, then apply to obtain a degree after you gain some experience in the field, provided you did well in your program.

If there is an actual physical therapist program, then the university/ college usually judges by your ACT/SAT scores, and your college grades if you have any.
So if you're doing well,or have done well in high school, the ACT will be easier for you to pass.

No.......as long as you get in to the school that accepts you.

However, once you are in the physical therapy program where you are going to school you'd better not fail any classes and keep your gpa above their minimum requirements..........

You will have to do well to first get into college. Then it is a difficult area of study but it will be worth it.

Do well now and you will be rewarded in a few years
