It depends on your credit hours. 0-30 is Freshman, 31-60 Sophomore, 61-90 Junior and above 90 is Senior.
You would need to complete 60 hours to be classified as a Junior.
I would say you are a Sophomore.
Good luck and stay with it! It is worth it when it is all over.

It is how many credit hours you have completed. It is supposed to be every 30 hours is a rise in class rank. So if you have 36 class hours completed, then you are a sophmore, 60 would be a junior, and 90 is a senior. Hope that helps you out.

It's all about credits.
1- 29 credits - Fresh.
29- 59 credits = Soph.
60 - 89 credits = Junior
90 - 120 credits = Senior
(Some scores use a 5 credit system per class but the average is 3 credits per class.)

Generally you can go by:
1st year of full-time college Freshman
2nd year Soph. and so on.
Or you can go by hours, but many students get behind in units so they become 5th year students then the Fresh, Soph, Junior and Senior terms really don't apply... except to say some students are seniors for more than one year.

number of units, each college is different. Years do not matter, there are plenty of 6th and 7th year seniors out there.
