The answer depends a bit on what you want to do. FSD is more about the actual science parts of crime and crime investigation. CJD is more global. So you might with a CJD do police work, but you could also do probation/parol, corrections, etc. You might look at a dual major or a major/minor (probably would be a major in CJD and a minor in Forensic).

honestly, once you're saying forensic "technology", i imagine of a biology or chemistry degree. it truly is for sure diverse from psychology or criminal justice degree in really each way. i have really been to indiana once: roann. it change into the middle of nowhere and the pastime market change into lacking. in case you had the forensics degree, you may want to artwork on the morgue. or with the police branch. you'll in all likelihood be amassing actual info at crime scenes. it would want to be sluggish, boring artwork. with not many openings. you'll in all likelihood make good money, yet not something over $40 5 grand, i might want to imagine, and that is with some adventure. the cj degree might want to open doors for perhaps operating in a regulation workplace or on the courtroom abode. now to not indicate what sweet piper above had to assert. i imagine you'll locate that a bachelor's in both received't get you very some distance, and also you should plan to bypass for a masters or doctorate. the latter is once you may receives a fee strong money, inspite of the indisputable fact that it seriously is not like csi or different crime drama shows. i consistently experience the favor to point that out to human beings. yet, once you have an interest in crimes and the human beings who commit them, then get a forensic psychology degree. I easily have a masters in forensic psych and various different of my friends had their bachelors in cj and they extremely loved the position their education change into taking them. the doctorate might want to assist you accomplish competency to face trial reviews, threat tests, criminal duty tests (should you declare to were "insane"). or artwork with the correctional inhabitants. or artwork interior the police branch itself as an in-abode psychologist. there is lots to be performed in both places. there extremely is a lot, this is troublesome to easily record stuff. strong success

They are both great programs. You need to go into the field where you have the greatest passion as that is where you will excel and make a difference.

Good Luck.

P.S. If I were planning on doing this, I would take them both and in the order listed so that I could become the best CJ around.

forensic science to me would be more interesting because it deals with more of the 'behind the scene' issues rather than being up front with the crime, they both have their challenges yet F.S. interests me more so, lab work finding the hidden clues etc.
