What are student professors and how do you become one? Also, are they nerds or just normal cool people?

I am at a crossroad in my life.
My dilema is as follows. Im at my first year at community college. I got 2 A's 3 B. which is lousy and i got my work cut out. I dont have much of a social life
at CC and am thinking about starting as a freshman at San Fransisco State. If i do this i will forfit my chances at
Berkeley. Which is sort of a stretch to begin with...

A. Work full time and save money for 1 semester. Go to SFSU and dorm as a first time freshman. Meeting
new people. SFSU is a commuter school so it could possibly be like CC.

B. Stay at Community college. Do my best take honors classes and try to get into Berkeley. Starting as a Junior.



I feel I am smart enough to be at Berkeley and sucseed. I did poorly this semester b/c of someting personal.
However if my gpa is not above a 3.6 I wont make it.
DO i risk going for something that may not be worth it. Do i start over and try to have a new life at SFSU.
I picture college as the whole dorm expereince. Not living at home with my parents breathing down my neck.

I received my Bachelor's degree in 2001. I need to go back to graduate school to get either my Master's or Doctorate. I am finding it tough to stay motivated. I am sure once I am there that I will do well. I am scared because I am thinking of entering into something that is on the opposite spectrum of what my undergrad was in- English Literature to Urban Planning. Any advice?

Culinary Arts majors are versed in the correct academic classical and modern ways to do things. Actual restaurants do whatever cost\time saving underhanded shortcuts possible. What's wrong here?

I am a first year student,doing BCA from IP university,Delhi. i am a science student and my parents want to do BTech.
is BCA a good course when compared to Btech???
Which course should i choose, should I continue with BCA or prepare for B. Tech??
is BCA only enough, or should i do any other course along with BCA???

I love to dance all types but, while I was working on my Associates in Arts people thought I was a Sociology major because of all the classes I took while at the community college. I admit I really enjoyed those classes. Right now I'm a Security officer with bad hours. I thought about getting an A.A.S. in paralegal but, I know that will slow down my process of going to Law School because, I need a Bachelors in Science what should I do?

I've been studying Spanish and Japanese and I want to go to a school to earn a B.A. I'd prefer to take online/distance learning courses if possible.
Also, if I've been studying a foreign language on my own, can I take a placement test in order to skip lower level classes and get a degree more quickly?

I am looking for something with minimal undergrad prereq requirements, as my undergrad major was not psychology. For the school to be in Pennsylvania or Maryland would be a huge bonus, but is not required.

(Some people may be surprised that non-psych majors can get into pscyh grad programs, but I assure you it is true. It's just that some of them require specific pscyh courses; Widener, to which I have applied, does not.)
