put a header in the right hand corner of each page with your full name. Use 1 inch margins and a 12pt Arial or Times New Roman font. It should be double spaced.

You can choose how you wish to indent. Some students just use the basic tab indention for each paragraph, others make theirs one continuous paper with no indentations. You can choose whichever you like, just make sure it is continuous.

Do not put the word count - most colleges use that as a recommended number so that you don't go way under or over. They don't actually care exactly how many words you use. Just make sure to stick within 20 or so words of the limit.

I have a good friend who would love to help. You should try shooting him an email at admissionsintegrity@msu.edu, just don't forget to include your full name so he knows what name he should put in the essay = ).

You should have a header with your name and SSN. It should be double spaced. And you should not put the word count at the end of the essay, it looks forced and unprofessional.
