The best answer will come from you, not from here. Only you know exactly why you want to pursue a master's degree in business administration if your backround is in art. This said, there is no single course of preparation for an MBA. I imagine many people with artistic backgrounds have decided to combine a love of art with expertise in business. I would think the combination useful for the owner of an art gallery or other business. In business, success depends on preparation. The interviewer is not just looking at what you say, but the thought process behind the answer. A good answer will show careful thinking, sound logic and depth of analysis.

Nobody can give you a canned answer, because an employer can spot these things a mile away! And besides, it all depends on YOU! Your reasons might be different from mine, so an honest answer is the best approach.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with having an arts background, and wanting to combine it with some business training in order to make you more marketable. And some jobs require a Master's Degree in order to move further up in the managerial ranks.
And there's nothing wrong with realizing later on that an arts background wasn't enough to gain employment, so now you want to focus on something that makes you more marketable. A business degree is certainly in demand and not going to be wasted.

Having an Arts background does not suggest that you are destined to become an artist in only that field but you can assertively tell the interviewer that due to evergoing changes in the Global arena there is desire for change in your choice of reaching higher Educational heights. Futhermore, in pursuing an MBA shows ambition moreso now because you have already accomplished the Arts arena successfully (I believe) yet do not wish to stay there but you are striving for much more so you can be an all-rounded individual. I would like to congratulate you for not satisfying with just one accomplishment but seeking to achieve all you think you can. I COMMEND you HIGHLY!!

I want to be a well rounded individual. I can bring a different perspective to an MBA program because of my arts background. After all business permeates all areas even in the arts.

You are trying to balance out youre education (which is smart as it is often very attractive to employers). An arts degree can be helfpul in exploring different areas of interest (especially in the theoretical approach, teaching you how to think logically and creatively) and a degree in business can help you find the practical real world applications of what you have learned. You may want to learn how to use your arts degree more effectively in the business world.
Hope its helpful!
