How would a man deal with an unfaithful wife in ancient Greece?

If a man's wife was cheating on him, and he found out, would he kill her? Torture her? Was divorce common?

we just learned about this in school and if a WOMAN cheated she would be sentenced to death .. but if a MAN cheated it was perfectly ok .. it was even encouraged
