Should I sart college right after I graduate or should I wait?
Also, I already know that I will be attending a community college.
When should I start applying?
Are there any tips on helping to choose my major?
My strong points are English and Psychology but I don't know if that is something that I want to do for a career.
How do I know for sure?

Go right away!!!!! Some people who wait never go. Plus what would you do at 16 out of HS...work at WalMart? Seriously though college is great. If you want to study English you could be a writer or a teacher. If you major in Psch then you have alot of school in front of you. On the bright side though since you are going to CC you don't really have to decide. Just get as many intros out of the way.... Bio, Chem, Math, Psch, Sociology, History (usually this is a two parter) English 1 and 2, and Intro to Theater or Music course, a PE class (belive it or not most colleges require one), anthropology (physical and social). Hopefully after taking one or more of these courses you will begin to have a greater understanding of what you would like to do. Since it is CC you can apply whenenver,

Sorry for the ramble best of luck to you.

Most universities and community colleges have counselors who can help you assess what will be best for you. Some students are ready for the college committment straight out of high school, others are not. It is strictly an individual decision..and one that is yours. Whatever career you choose in life, make sure it's something that you love....then it won't seem so much like work! In addition, keep in mind that most people change careers at some point in their lives, so whatever you do, doesn't necessarily have to be for forever! Most important..have a plan......and be HAPPY!!

Start college immediately after high school. Apply now. Pick a major you love, that you're also good at.

You should start college as soon as you graduate. As you know that you are good at those subjects, you could think of Teaching as a career. It would be good for you to tutor young children to see if you like doing it.

Start immediately.. that way youll be done with school earlier.

don't declare a major immediately. you can be undecided for a while until you figure out exactly wat you want to do. also this way it'll be easier to be sure about the choice ur making and not have to change your major later.
