Nah, it's easier than high school. You don't have teachers and parents on your back about going to school; it's your choice whether you go to class or not. I should point out though, that if you don't go to class, then you'll be wasting thousands of dollars so it's very self-motivating. Also, you'll be studying something of your choice, not some pre-requisite that is needed to graduate from high school like....philosophy or something else that you don't like. That can help in motivating you to go to class. Good luck.

I dropped out of college halfway through the first year. I prefered to go to work. But I didnt find college hard, just tedious at times.

This depends on the college and your major. Certain classes may be difficult. However, college (in general) doesn't have to be difficult. It is, however, important to stay disciplined so that you can get good grades.
