Has anyone gone half way through college and totally switch there career to something else??

Ok, so i wanna take this coarse in my college right. Its my first year attending Centennial College in Toronto, and I want to change my coarse from Computer Engineering Technology to Paramedics. However, my first class did start today in Computer Engineering, and I did ask for them if i can change to another coarse. They said no problem fill in the sheet. So im now stuck here... I told my parents I want to change the coarse to another, but they just dont want me too :(?? I dunno why they wouldnt want me to change the coarse, into something i want to do... They keep saying, if you become a paramedic, it wont lead you to anywhere in the future... How can I expain that to it will lead to a future of goodness.. ??

please help.. my parents wont allow me to choose the coarse i want.. sigh..

Except for UCLA, UCB, and UCSD, all other UC's have told me that they have received my application. How is that? I have a bad feeling that the top three UC's have just ignored my application because my grades aren't good enough. Do you think I'm right about this?

I'm really having a hard time getting motivated to go back to school and get my Design Degree. I have an opportunity to become a Designer at my firm in a couple years (which gives me plenty of time to get my associates), however I just can't seem to pick up the phone to make that first call! I would love to be a designer (the $$ that comes along with it isn't so bad either...), but ....I'm lacking such dedication and motivation! I need some advice on how I can become motivated enough to at least take one class and see how I like it!! If all else fails, at least I tried, right?! Help!

I attendence required in college or can you just go online to get the assignments. I'm a high school senior and when my brother was in college he never seemed to go to class. So is it required?

I thought that my college class would all be paid for but right when she told me it wasnt she had already enrolled me for that class if I tell them I cant afford it will they take me out of it or do I still have to pay for it?

I have been taking acting classes since i was 6, and i am constantly going through auditions and classes for school. And am looking at these colleges:
-University of south florida (for the theatre performing arts program)
-UCLA
University of south california
-Berkely
-LA Film school
-University of North Florida
-Depaul U in chicago
-Chicago university for the performing arts
-NYU


I dont reall know which ones is better than the other b/c ive never been to any of them. If anyone has attended or knows about any of these or better schools for acting please let me know!!! I am in my sophomore year in high school and need to make up my mind soon. Thanks!

Hi,
I have a cousin from India who is about to complete his Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA). Though being a full-time student, his college is affiliated with a known Indian university which is going to provide him only a degree for part-time education in the field of BBA.
My question is:
1. if my cousin is eligible for studying for Master's degree in the United States.
2. what are the possible courses (besides MBA) that might interest him given that he is a BBA.

For example: Can a person who is a Doctor there start a practice here ?? If NOT .....
1) what kind of work will that person be able to do or get here?
2) Is there any test that they can take to be a doctor here too?
3) What credentials are acceptable here in the USA from Ukraine?
4) Does the USA accept University degrees from Ukraine?
5) Will someone have to attend college here to get a degree?
6) What if someone is a Dentist -- will they be a dentist here?
7) Who or what agency controls what is accepted and not accepted?
8) What kinds of jobs are transferrable from Ukraine to USA?

I would like this addressed by a professional or someone who actually knows. Thank you.

ok, so I have my BS in graphic design, and minors in mass communications and religion/theological studies. I have also taken a pretty in depth core of fine/studio arts classes.

now, if I am toying with the idea of becoming an art teacher for high schoolers or little kids (more so high school). what would I go for? or what program should I be looking at? I'm not sure where to start.

I am in a writing class that is requiring my to write out my long term educational goals and long time career goals. Right now I am in class to get my associate of arts in criminal justice. I am a sophomore English major at a school called Claflin University. They really aren't exposing me to many internships, so I decided to take it upon myself and search for internships that would benefit someone with an English degree.

First of all, my search is broad, so if anyone could help to stear me in the right direction. My future goal is to write for a magazine, work for an online magazine or a film company like the Cannes Film Festival.

If anyone knows of any internships or can tell me where to look being that I'm an English major, I'd gladly appreciate it. PLEASE HELP ME!
