Ok, so i wanna take this coarse in my college right. Its my first year attending Centennial College in Toronto, and I want to change my coarse from Computer Engineering Technology to Paramedics. However, my first class did start today in Computer Engineering, and I did ask for them if i can change to another coarse. They said no problem fill in the sheet. So im now stuck here... I told my parents I want to change the coarse to another, but they just dont want me too :(?? I dunno why they wouldnt want me to change the coarse, into something i want to do... They keep saying, if you become a paramedic, it wont lead you to anywhere in the future... How can I expain that to it will lead to a future of goodness.. ??

please help.. my parents wont allow me to choose the coarse i want.. sigh..

If your parents are paying for college, then you are pretty much stuck. However, if you are paying for college, then take the courses you like.
You could also tell them that becoming a paramedic may lead you to choose to become a doctor in the future. (Most parents wouldn't turn down the thought of a doctor in the family!)
Good luck!

If you or financial aid is paying for college, you can either change the course and follow the life path you want to, or try to please your parents.

If you change it and they don't like it, they'll get over it.

You should do what's best for you, and they should want you to be happy.

If your parents are putting you through school, you have to explain to them that you want to do this, and why.

If your parents don't want you to take it, well then good for them.

Just fill out the sheet on your own, don't base your education on what they think. Take what you want, regardless of your parents' opinions.

go for it.

Are they paying for your school? If they are, you're screwed. If you're paying, take what you feel called to do. Paramed is an honorable (if low pay) position!
