It varies greatly depending on what area you focused on, your experience, and your interests. When I graduated with my BA in psychology I was still doing odd jobs (working with camels at the zoo, waiting tables, and secretary). Once I got into grad school more opportunities arose (I was in experimental psych). I had some friends that were hired from their internships some at a local private mental health hospital and some at the national Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA). My husband was in counseling and worked at youth homes for teens with criminal histories. A year into his grad program he worked as a psychomotrist with a local school system. At the BA level jobs can be limited I recommend doing at least 1 internship and make as many contacts as you can. Even now that I have my masters and have been teaching for several years my contacts come in handy. Good luck to you.

Check out Social Psychology Network at www.socialpsychology.org
That website offers a vast amount of information about many different psychology majors, depending on what your discipline is. It really depends where you want to work or with what types of people.
Some immediate options include being a counselor or social worker.
If you want a specialized field you could go into Developmental, Clinical, Social or Health psychology just to name a few. Geropsychologists work with the elderly. But, if you want to work with teenagers you may want to consider being a school psychologist.

you're by no ability too overdue. question is how a techniques are you waiting or desirous to flow? Undergraduate ranges don't have a lot worth to psychology. you'll favor to a minimum of get a masters. Doctorate is sweet yet might want to be spendy, fantastically in case you go the Psy.D. direction by way of a "professional college" (no longer a huge fan of that, more effective of a mill, has flooded the market, and expenses mucho dinero). What do you pick to do? Formal reviews frequently require a doctorate. Counseling might want to be carried out with a masters as can some college psychology, and many coverage businesses will enable repayment. To be a real psychologist in accordance to maximum criminal regulations (that are managed state by way of state), you many times pick a doctorate and/or be approved as a psychologist. Forensics is a warm container as we communicate yet calls for a doctorate. in case you pick to teach or do learn, you want to think about the right colleges as it truly is rather aggressive. suitable needs!

You may work as a case manager in a mental health facility. You need to go further and get higher degree if it is only a BS. Not many options are open for beginning psychology degrees in the same field. You may work in other areas not psychology related.

My friend graduated with that degree and she worked at a home for Adult mentally challenged people. She eventually worked with Autistic Kids.
You would probably be qualified for some counseling depending on the requirements of the job (s lot of places require experience for this)
If you dont care about youre major you can really apply for anything. Most employers are less interested in what you got your degree in they just want you to have a degree. Advertising might be a good direction with a Psych degree as it deals with human wants and desires.
Good luck

If you are referring to physchology graduate as in Bachelors degree, then you can get into school consueling at your local high school or 2 year college. I would suggest thats it good to obtain a consueling certificate after bachelors degree, then you can more opportunity towards community consueling such as youth/human development. You can even teach at a school with a teaching certificate as well.
If you are a phychology graduate as in Masters, you can practice physcology on community level such as marriage, criminal, and so on.
