Here is where the problems are. You are attempting to write a literature review, which is not correct. The purpose of a thesis is to use research to back up your own thoughts and ideas about a topic. Here, you are just discussing someone else’s work.

I tottaly forgot till today, but during my final exam in December, there was a girl sitting next to me who stopped half way, reached down to her purse and opened a bag of Doritos and started eating them!! I was thinking that was sooooo inappropriate to do during the final exam, and i CANT stand chewing noises. I'm surprised the Professor didn't say anything.
YES or NO? Should students be eating during finals?

First day back to school and the Prof gives us a 25 page syllabus with every little detail you can imagine.
The course calender, which gives a week-by-week required reading list, is only 2 pages long and the remaining 23 pages is all stuff like attendance policy, what kinds of foods you are allowed to bring into the classroom, the different kinds of settings you can turn your cell phone to so that it wont distrupt the class, suggested types of clothing to wear in the classroom so that you can work comfortably (sweaters cause it gets cold etc).....23 pages of that!!!!!!!! What a freak!
Have you ever had a syllabus like this???

My school offers 7 AP classes: Lit and Comp., Chem, Bio, Art History, U.S. History, Calc, and Stats. I will have taken only 4:Lit. and Comp., Bio, U.S. Hist., and Stats by graduation. These are the only AP's my schedule allows for because Soph. and Fresh. can't take AP at my school. I've noticed that on this site and similar ones, students accepted into the more elite colleges take 5 to 10 AP's. Will this hurt my chances or will colleges recognize my situation?

I don't know if this is true or not but I have heard it around for the longest time that if a professor does not show up for class within 15 to 20 minutes of the starting time of the class the student(s) can leave without being penalized.

I've asked at my school and no one seems to know-its not written anywhere but people leave anyway when it happens. I go to school in California, anybody from any other state have you heard of this?

Student A attends a preperatory school and gets average grades (2 C's, 2 B's, 1 A).

Student B attends a public school and gets great grades (3 A's, 1B) in a not-so-good public school.

Which student has a better chance of getting into a decent college? Does it matter much if you went to a public or preparatory school? Or do they just look at GPAs, SAT scores, and extracurricular activities?

The reason I'm asking this is because I'm "Student A", I go to a preparatory school and I get average grades. I have the option of being "Student B", transfering to public school and getting A's and B's, and I'm not sure if I should remain "Student A" or go back to being "Student B"

Hi! I am an 17 year old junior in high school. For years I have known that I want to be in the health field. I am in a school called MVCTC. It is an amazing school for high school students to learn about the career of their choice as well as finishing high school. I am completely interested In becoming a pediatrician or obstetrician or an orthopedic doctor. My grades are perfect for it (I have a 3.5 GPA) and amazing ACT and SAT scores! I live in dayton ohio. I was wondering if anyone knew any great schools for any of these careers, it will take about 8 years of school and 4 years of residency to get this career and I dont want to move away for 12 years! I toured Wright state university today and fell in love with it! Has anyone heard good about this school? THanks for any personal stories and experiences!!!

Hello all, I would like to know how I can tell what type of career I should look into.

I am drawn to language arts, and enjoy writing creative pieces.
I love to explore the science world.
I enjoy reading up on history.

Can you infer what career field I would be most successful in?

I am wondering if I should start planning for college while I am still in Junior high. Do your grades count in Junior High or in Highschool? I want to be able to get into a good college, though I prefer a private college.

Does it matter which college I go to in order to get a maximum wage occupation? You help is needed!

Please and thank you,

All these prestigious institutions have somehow earned the honor to be called only by their name and have outranked each other many times.
As of now, according to US News and World Report, Harvard is ranked second among the best colleges in the United States; and Cambridge is ranked as the top university in the United Kingdom (Guardian Unlimited) with Oxford in second place although Oxford was once acclaimed to be the best college in the world.
